Imma say it now; I know I am a toxic piece of shit. That tends to happen in Silver when you have to put up with a Corki mid with Teleport who afk farmed all game without even trying to help during dragons, barons, teamfights, or anything, or a Varus who ults BACKWARDS in 5 teamfights, or a Zilean who ults your tank at full health before he even initiates, or a Skarner who sits in base and types "Lol enjoy your LP" in /all chat. None of which got punished.

But last year, their only triggers were gay slurs, black slurs and suicide proposals. Fuck, shit, bitch, %%%%, whore, ass, hell, damn, Leviticus, fucking white male, you could spam those to your heart's content!

But now, they're going balls-to-the-wall strict with the words, where you can't even call someone out for actually feeding or going afk on your team. One game, everything was just fine, until our Vi jungle started trolling the shit out of our lane, and after the fifth time I asked him "What the hell is your problem? Are you actually inbred??" Since you know, that's usually just a white slur, so Liberal Riot shouldn't care about that.

And his response was, "Haha, I got you banned now :^)"

And next thing I know it's, "Due to negativity on this account, you've been chat restricted. Enjoy being Honour level 1!!!" I said "No chat logs," but I restarted my client and found them.

They didn't apply a filter, nor do they, to my knowledge (aside from the one on hate speech). The system is built to be an evolving one, and likely just got better at identifying behavior such as this:

From this game you can see that my toplaner was intentionally feeding and my midlaner (annie) was flaming extremely hard. I was trying to rationalize the situation or whatever. Still got penalty tho.

Just because you don't call someone a racial slur doesn't mean you aren't being toxic.

The IFS doesn't just punish specific words, it punishes toxic chat.

This includes insulting, flaming, harassing, etc...

Ewww getting all political about a games rules. Riot is gonna punish whatever triggers chaos in chat. The state of political correctness and liberalism has to do with the players, not riot. They want to end toxicity and improve their image. So whatever sets people off in chat, is what's going to be targetted. Stop obsessing and using politics to make points about things that have no relation. It's just shows a lack of critical thinking. Someone is against me being mean?! Must be the God damn sjw liberal pc police!! No. It's riot trying to improve their players experience and putting an end to games where kids like you spend time socializing instead of playing. And the socializing you do, is merely negative, antagonistic insults towards your allies.

If you want a real, competitive feel, where your team is all on the same page, and you can banter with them, stop playing with strangers. Make a team so you know who is on your team and you know they aren't stupid. As of right now, you're expecting too much from strangers. You're not on the same page as them.
