Riot, whatever you are doing, it's not working

I have been playing this game since season 1, a very long time. Every season has things about it which stand out among other seasons. Do you know what stands out this season for me? This is easily, without a doubt, the most toxic, rage inducing season I've ever had to deal with. And yes, I say "deal with" because some of these games are not even fun, you are just putting up with the ignorance around you from some of these players until the next game.

I'm not talking regular rage when something bad happens, two players say a few words then stop. I'm talking about the people who legitimately enjoy harassing other players for absolutely no reason. I just got out of a game where starting IN THE LOBBY a guy was telling people to stfu, they are pussy feeders etc. He then proceeded to harass the entire team the duration of the game, along with waiting for jungler to get a monster low and sniping it from him.

I'm not upset from one game, im upset because before I even log on to play league now I have to prepare myself to deal with these people EVERY GAME. And that's no exaggeration, its every single game I am in. And I'm no angel, im not claiming to be, but it's one thing to have normal smack talk in a game, its another thing when you start actually harassing a player for absolutely nothing to do with the game, just harassing. Im not posting because it hurts my feelings, I honestly could care less what some idiot thinks about me. I'm posting because I play this game to have fun, and this season, I am starting to question whether I'm even having fun anymore. How can you have fun playing a team game when people who are teammates, ON YOUR SIDE, saying completely uncalled for, ignorant things all game. And they don't even stop when you ignore them, they just keep going on and on.

Don't say "just mute them". I do mute people. But why can't I enjoy a game where I don't have to mute people, we can actually communicate better, and oh, I don't know, maybe have a good time, joke around a little bit with other people who clearly enjoy the same game I do.

My entire point here is, Riot, whatever you are doing is an absolute failure. Your system for detecting and banning players is just not efficient. I see some of the most toxic people who have still not been banned, but then I see a player who had a bad day and said a few things not even bad but they end up getting banned? Fix the system and cleanse it of all this toxic filth that has been allowed to build up.
