"Supporting" without warding and why isn't it banned yet?

So as we all know, summoner 11 support guy got banned because they weren't communicating with the team and whatever.

...You know who else isn't communicating with the team?

Doing something off meta? (off meta isn't completely bad)

and upsets pretty much the whole team almost always? Leaving me and the rest of my team with a negative experience??

-> The people who go support and don't build item 2049 or buy any wards at all. Especially supports that build doran's first item rather than any type of gold income item. They never write out what they're doing or why it works, they don't make sure their team is okay with it before starting to go do that.

There's a difference between playing a role that's different to what you're assigned to and playing an unconventional build/champion for the role you've been given.

One is bannable the other is not.

Not rushing or building a sightstone is fine to me as long as they have a control ward standing in the map somewhere. As for not getting one of the three supp starting items thats just plain dumb.

Yeah I think supports who start Dorans just picked an off meta support and accidentally bought the ring cuz it's recommended. I've done it once, but I apologized and still got sightstone and played as a (gimped) support. People who buy it on purpose... I just don't know what they're thinking.

Everyone should be warding. Hands down. We all now have limits on wards which is why warding has now become a team effort. Before when there was no limit, I could understand the complaints but at the same time, if you looked at pro players before the ward limit, everyone warded. This to me signaled that warding wasn't just one person's job but it was a team effort even before the ward limit came into existence.

What Riot did with the ward limits was make everyone improve their game and become better teammates rather than letting the support be scapegoated and harassed by their teammates.
