Sorry Its getting god damn ridiculous. People are now labelling ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING as Trolling. Anything and everything is inting. Its gotten so dilluted and lazy that no one even tries to find the difference anymore.

Got reported for 'trolling' because I chose Not to follow everyone else on a pointless invade, and watched them all die. But me choosing to stay behind = trolling Getting 4v1'ed and CC'ed...obvious inting, plz report Not building how a teammate -DEMANDS- (like..."get rid of that item and build X") is now trolling... Not being able to escape any CC at all...is now Inting. Standing STILL...is now Intentionally feeding. Just having a different strategy than the rest of the team, is now "trolling" and "Enjoy ur permaban"

These are examples I have come across. What I have been "Reported" for. Trolling? Inting? greifing? No one wants to even try and look at the difference anymore. The little toddlers are mad people wont carry them to an easy win or get thier ego bruised, so they throw the label of "troll/greifer/inter" on EVERYTHING when they dont get their way.

Its starting to make me laugh really. They have watered the term down to where even the defeat screen, all you see in the post game lobby is "report x for inting"

If you are going to call someone a troll, at least have a VALID reason for it. Not just "You wouldnt invade with the rest of the team" (because watching you give the enemy team a 4-kill head start is such a brilliant idea)

or "you are standing still, which means you are not playing and offering up free kills to the enemy. so you are inting" (I was responding to something from the other team and was only standing still for about 5s" Its the same as if you take longer than 5s in the shop (trying to find something, trying to decide what the team needs, etc) suddenly its "Report for Afk" "I am not afk I am in shop" "No you are standing in spawn, so you are afk" (more lovely little logic-bombs that have been dropped on me)

This is how lazy and report happy this community has gotten. THis is how PETTY people have gotten where they will find ANYTHING they can use and stretch a connection in order to validate hitting that little red ! in the post game.

This is why I lost any faith in this community, why I lost any interest in trying to work with my teams (I just take what I want, build what I need and do my best to win. In rare occations I will help the team if I see them TRYING to win. But in most games all I see are halo kids who want to treat the game like a free for all. And because thier egos are so fragile, the smallest slight against them or dont cave to their every whim, means you are obviously "trolling". The enemy team works together to stun you down and get a 4v1 kill on you? Nah you were obviously intentional feeding!

Anything Is trolling Anything is inting Anything is greifing and this community is so petty they will make sure you are banned for all 3 because you dont carry them to victory. And they will make sure you will know over and over again, just how hard they are gonna 9x you. "So we all agreed we gonna report X for trolling, right?. 9x means ur permabanned" <-----lost count how many times i have heard this.

It is laughable. I get a good kick out of it whenever people says stuff like that to me.

You know it won't do anything to you, but you sure know that the harassment get get them punished, and I'm sure you know the feeling of getting an IFS feedback is better than anything.

Seriously though if people are giving you trouble in bronze 5 thats nuts. There is no chance that your teamates ever know what they are talking about at that elo

It is out of control.

Everyone IS hypersensitive.

Here is why:

Lots of us love the game itself, we have fun. We have a connection, we have investment. It takes dedication to learn all of the champs in this game, the lane matchups, farming, lane control, so on.

There are some heavy negatives currently, we feel as though they are not being properly addressed. On top of that, the way that they ARE being addressed, most feel puts us at a disadvantage, puts the troll at an advantage, AND doesn't resolve the issue.

This means you have a passionate, dedicated user base, who feel unheard and helpless, inherently becoming more frustrated over time.

There are two things someone will likely do in this situation: Continue to play and become more frustrated,more aggressive, in a desperate attempt for a response. This is why it becomes hypersensitive. The more the playerbase feels unheard, the more it yells, and louder. Like if you see someone far away and you yell to tell them something. If it doesn't work the first time you try again, if that doesn't work you run closer, or you do something to get you to your goal.

In this case we have reporting- which feels useless, and if we're honest I don't think any of us like to report. Its like tattling and feels juvenile. It also feels like the responsibility is on us- it feels kinda bad.

We have these boards- which, I mean, lets just be honest I feel like I'm beyond wasting my time here.

In short, both methods don't exactly make us feel as though the game is improving. This only adds to the frustration.

This means your player base either quits in frustration, or continues to play in frustration and a toxic community is created.

Currently the riot logic is that if someone isn't being toxic in chat, they aren't being toxic. Or at the very least, this is how the playerbase likely feels- and so this only fosters more frustration. Regardless if it is actually true or not.

Even if that is not riot logic, the frustrated are being punished more than the root of the issue. We have doctors running around stopping the bleeding, but no one stopping the guy cutting everyone in the first place. Obviously this just turns into a shitshow, because the mess just keeps piling up. Those being cut are also told to stop getting cut... which once again only creates more frustration.

Once the frustration hits a certain point, players will just quit. Furthermore they will likely not watch the lcs, or buy merch. They will resent riot games and avoid giving them money.

For instance I haven't bought a skin in a very very long time- because I feel as though these problems and being mismanaged and they do not currently deserve my money. I've bought many skins in the past, and the game is improving in many ways. However the current stance on game discipline is insanely out of hand.

Now, this is all well and good, but is this the ROOT cause of the toxic issue. Why do we have players freaking out like they never would in real life in frustration? Trolls? Instant gratification demands? Challenger aspirations? Nope.

Its actually the matchmaking system. Stay with me.

Many players are trolling, but they don't know it. They aren't doing it on purpose. For instance, my first promos in this game I was placed silver 2. In reality, I knew nothing yet about the game. I could play support decent, I knew the matchups ok- but I didn't know much else. I didn't know all of the champions, I had bad map awareness and warding, you name it. I was COMPLETELY trolling in silver 2.

After a few games I KNEW I was trolling. However all I could do was my best, get flamed every game for being bad- knowing it was true, and eventually fall down the ladder.

You also will have players that play far less than others, but are in the same elo because there is no degregation of elo in lower tiers... I think. At least its not enough.

The bottom line is that you have players at elos that they do not belong at, who are unintentionally trolling all over the fucking place. We've all seen it, at least every other game in silver its crazy obvious. Half the time you can watch how someone moves their champion around and you know in two minutes they aren't very good.

Add some other layers to this, such as legit trolls, dcs, afks, SMURFS. There is no way you can't agree with the assessment. Its obvious.

The ROOT issue, causing all of this pain, is matchmaking. Its producing poor matchups, players aren't where they belong in the elo ladder- and its causing tons of frustration from players. Games feel random, because they are pretty damn random.

I think riot tries to match games for a 50/50 as well, which also inherently will feel like a circus. A better player will have to be placed with worse opponents, or against better ones to balance the game... like when you duo. You pretty consistently get players that you have no idea where riot found them. Its just a crazy circus overall. Always has been. The game will essentially bring the elo to you, instead of bringing you to the elo. It doesn't make much sense.

Lets be real though, you can only match 50/50 if you have a system that actually works. They assume it does, so they assume their data is right- but games feel like a fucking circus if you ask me. Which no one did. lol
