I got thrown in jail for assault just because I defended myself !!!!!! (The parallels)

Dominick Destine·3/18/2016, 1:38:10 AM·49 votes·3,813 views

So I was walking to the store the other day ... and this guy had a shirt on that said "I hate nerds", this personally attacked my self identity and so I was forced to defend my ego from his direct, personal infringement of my being. I went up to him and politely shoved my knuckle into his face... bursting open his lower lip in the process; this caused a small shower of blood splashed across my clothes, which these STUPID BIASED LIARS of the justice system means I am guilty of something.

Anyway long story short; I was punished ! WTF THIS IS THE WORST SYSTEM EVER

Some JERKASSES erven think I should have IGNORED HIS T-SHIRT. What has this world come to when I cannot defend my personal being in this fashion ?

where's the part that you spent $20 on a cool shirt in the store?

The problem here is that there is no parallel in league. In League, no matter if the 'jerk' punches you repeatedly (intentional feeding), deafens you with obscene insults (1:1 comparison here), you are game for an equal or greater punishment for yelling "Somebody call the cops!" ([all] Please report this guy, he's a toxic dick and he's ruining our game). The cops will get there, listen to an audio recording, and lock you up right next to that guy- only then to inform you saying the phrase 'call the cops' is illegal in this country. In fact, if you don't have another witness, they might decide the guy beating the shit out of you and screaming insults didn't SAY anything in the list of illegal words- so he's free to go.

That's been my experience with the system.

How is that in anyway even remotely close to a "parallel"...?

It would be more like:

___ So I was playing basketball with some friends the other day... and one of their friends whom I haven't met before kept saying that I fkng sucked and that I was a retard or whatnot. I tried to ignore it but he wouldn't stop with the insults. Since we had to keep playing the game, I got fed up at one point and told him to f**k off. ___

Long story short; He was being an asshole And I cursed at him, maybe even several times as the game went on It is... a pretty bad freaking system if you ask me.

Pretty much this. What you did there isn't even remotely close to a parallel it's a complete Strawman Fallacy.

This basketball example is a far better example. The difference being you were thrown out of the game for saying "fuck you" to the person who was **VERBALLY **abusing you all game. While he continued to play. The only difference being, you tend to say "Fuck you" back to several different individuals who berate and abuse you CONSTANTLY every game.

That's an example.

The second you leave the premise of words to violence and League's justice system to IRL justice system you're so far off topic we may as well begin talking about turtles. Thing is though, it's Riot's game and they make the rules, we have no choice but to abide by the rules, even if they are very shitty. So yes ignoring the jackass is always the better option** under riots justice system**.

Your comparison is rather bad. There are far better examples you could have come up with. Instead, you chose to pick one that is bad and you should feed bad. I mean, why compare physical assault to a shirt? Even comparing physical assault to words would be bad...but this is just horrid.

politely shoved my knuckle into his face

Ahahahahaha thanks for the laugh, though I have to deal with ppl's weird looks @ me afterwards.

Putting that aside...you're not thrown in jail for defending yourself, you're thrown in because you took the wrong approach in a way that isn't acceptable. In your example you're supposed to contact authorities - take pictures as evidence if needed - to deal with it legitimately instead of resorting to violence.

Nothing regarding your punishment has been mentioned, so until further details are provided we can't say anything.

This might get taken down by the way, you should post this in Memes and Games instead because Riot needs to take every post seriously that isn't there.

If you want to talk about the current League behavioral systems here, that is fine. However, social issue discussions are not acceptable on the Boards and will be removed. There are other, much better, places to have those discussions than here.

I think you have it all wrong.

How about: So I was walking to the store the other day ... and this guy had a shirt on that said "I hate feeders", this personally attacked my self identity and so I was forced to defend my ego from his direct, personal infringement of my being. I called the cops after I left the store, and they later got in touch with my to let me know he had been put in jail, and all was right with the world now.

Or maybe even: As it turns out, when the cops were still on their way, some other bystander actually had the audacity to tell people the shirt was no big deal. Luckily, other onlookers pointed him out to the cops and they were able to arrest him too. Thank god!

imagine this guy talking to his mom

Mom: what did you do son

You: nothing:|, idk why they want to arrest me

Mom:poor thing. mom will take care of you honey

You:thx mom

Mom: Officer, what did he did wrong?

Police:what do you mean? did he not told you?

Mom:no:|

Police: boy o boy. what he did is unbelievable. He is lucky he didn;t get the death sentence

Mom:oh no, my sweet sweet child

Police: your sweet sweet child? if you knew what he did, you wouldn;t call him that. As a matter of fact. I got to ask myself. Why does he have such a poor education?

Mom:excuse me? how dare you talk like that about my boy?

Police: You don;t know the details about this. About what he did.

Mom: well, what did he do?

Police: it will come as shock. Better sit down madam.

(mom sits down)

Police:he was playing league of legends

Mom: yes, as he usually does

Police: and he called someone NOOB

Mom: omg. Did you really said that Jymmy(his name is jymmy)?

Jymmy: yes, but

Mom: no, no buts. can;t believe you will embarass me like that. When my friends will ask me how is your son. What should i tell them?

Jymmy started crying: sry mommy.

Mom: you know what happends now, no more food

Jymmy heartbroken and thinking his last meal was 8 hours ago: :|.

Moral of the story

Feed little jymmy

Because of the U.S Constitution I believe a person can wear a shirt that says "F*** You" on it and get away with it right?

The problem here is obviously your not allowed to do this, although the Law is only broken if you get caught as I said in another post like this so don't get caught at whatever it is you are doing illegal.

For example you can "Stare at a person" legally I think in a public place until they come up and start talking trash to you, then punch you, then if you end up defending yourself you are more-less at a legal stand-point especially if you do it in front of a security camera where there is evidence recorded.

For example a Thief breaking into a persons house sometimes the city Laws say you are not allowed to use lethal force however...

Within the justice system. . If you feel your life is in danger and you do then it could be gotten off with. . If that thief slips and falls like this guy I will show in the video here then you won't really get in trouble, but you still have to call 911 to be legal about it but he got what he deserved, so applying this of what could happen at home if a thief tries to take something heavy and fall getting away or something not your problem or fault.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zg6epfr73vA

There are LOOP - Holes in the justice system, and obviously its best never to break the Law to begin with, but just don't do anything stupid.

I actually had a few drunk people in the past end up wandering on my property stupidly and fall in a bunch of cactus before, well deserved not to mention trying to get away just to have 4 squad cars right in the back waiting for them, and legally its not my fault, and trust me falling into cactus hurts like a mother...

You see if I actually wanted to I could have gotten them for property damages too with the minor damage done, but I felt justice was already served.
