I've been in low elo for a while now. I am probably a slow learner. I am very stubborn. I might have bad luck. It could entirely be my fault. It could be the fault of a system. It could be others to blame. Does it really matter? Stop using my rank and the ranks of others as a means of insulting them.

If you are even in the same games as me then you're stuck with me too. Maybe you have an easier time climbing. I don't know. Maybe you have better luck or skills or consistency, but you don't have the right to insult me or any other player just because they have it a little more difficult than you do or even just as difficult.

To anyone and everyone who uses rank as an excuse for anything, especially for insulting others...

You are silver 5, you represent 67% of the population. You barely even got out of bronze that means you barely know what you are doing. I wouldn't trust you about anything related to league of legends since clearly you don't know how to play the game properly yet.

I climbed from Bronze to Gold this season. Got out Bronze in two days. Tool me a month of solo carrying a bunch of animals to reach gold.

To be fair, the group of people who do say that remind me exactly of the people in Halo 3 who said that anyone below Colonel Grade 2 had no valid opinion. Same with Modern Warfare and anyone who was below Prestige Rank 1.

I like to do a direct comparison to those kinds of people because I was one of those people in Halo 3 who was big enough of a jackass and a tool to tell others who were not Colonel Grade 2 or higher that they had no opinion because I was a Brigadier. It's pretty much the same people, or at least, the same mentality.

Silver isn't even a low rating, it's average. The median player is in silver. And people are lower ratings for different reasons. So what's causing silvers to be looked down on?

No its more about silvers/bronze players talking about balance. THAT'S when people look at your rank to justify what you're saying.

:P But in all seriousness that's one thing that does annoy me. Even if the "bronze" player tries to help another and has the information/sources to back up their claim, people instantly dismiss that player because "lol u bronze noob".

Same people usually dismiss arguments with the "No you don't understand" without showing why.

It depends really no it shouldnt be used as a insult but it does represent your skill lvl and if a plat player or a higher elo player doesnt wanna play with you based on that then they shouldnt/wont. But still they shouldnt insult you about it. Im sorry if you were insulted but it also depends on what you mean by insult. "Wanna play?" "Nah im good you're silver" isnt really a insult its just stating the facts. Your rank is your rank you made it happen when you played ranked. Dont be upset if someone judges you based on it keeping in mind its a judgement of your skill from the system.

Alright so I had a Plat 2 player in a game a few days ago who literally said: "You will never get to play in my ELO, you are too bad for it." He lost lane against a bronze and had 0 map awareness, then blamed us for losing.

Rank doesn't mean crap imo. If you say something that makes sense your opinion is worth way more than a gold+ player saying "omg Yasuo too broken Rito nerf pls".

As long as you explain your opinion with arguments I can see your point, and that's what makes it a valuable post.

haha there are people whom pull that card here on PB&M and my response is as follows:

*shrug * I'm not the one that is permabanned.

Which means, if they decide to make a new account, they are now unranked (and lvl1) and I'm silver. HA!
