Then do something about player behavior in the lower brackets. How many smurfs are out there attempting to escape the godforsaken hellscape of bronze, and it's cycle of depression?
If you start cleaning up the low-rungs, you'll have less smurfs. Continue you your policies of indifference and you'll see everyone looking for a way out.

AeroWaffle1 votesI think it's the other way around, because there are many smurfs in those lower brackets the behavior is worse. If it's a smurf they are going to care less about the account and thus not be as fearful of being banned.
It's not like Riot is ignoring specific brackets, the system is completely indifferent.
Smurfs in general are a problem that league is just going to have to deal with because of its nature as a F2P game.

If that's true, it's because the smurf attempt didn't launch them to silver. There's a strong feeling in Bronze that once you're trapped down there, and you improve, the best way out is through smurfing. And this is largely because A. Bronze keeps everyone - there's no where else to go. B. There are plenty of trolls/feeders/afks who, again, are always there and C. it's the bracket where the most emotionally volatile live. So even if you're in a position to climb, you're always sitting one meltdown away from someone intentionally feeding the game, brought on largely by "B."
And what the boards don't seem to get is that it doesn't matter if the math says you can climb out, or people prove you can climb out. The conventional wisdom down here is that if you want out, one way is smurfing. You want to end smurfing? Start sending a strong message that "we're in bronze/silver cleaning out the jerks"
