You know the type, The jungler who wont help any lane, who will let enemies get fed, the player who expects the whole Game to be put on hold untill THEY get that ONE item That will suddenly flip the switch.

Just lost a game with a Lee who spent the whole game saying that. Top lane was having a hard time dealing with lag. Lee refused to help any lanes who were struggling and getting picked off by the enemy Kayn Meanwhile all we heard from him is "Just wait guys. I just need one item then i can carry just hold out till them" (spoiler alert: we lost, he never got that item)

But he was happy to constantly remind us how we just have to hold out till he got that ONE item and the whole game would be flipped. Meanwhile enemy team is getting dragons and towers. They snag baron. Top lane is gone. And morgana tells us how its the "Teams fault" that the jungler had no presence "Its ok Lee, the rest of the team has to step up its game"

The enemy isnt gonna sit and wait till you think you are "OP" enough to carry. Dont screw over everyone else on your team by insisting they "Wait" for you. This is really starting to piss me off, seeing this kind of arrogance and bravado. The sort of "Im too op for my team....only not yet, I will make them wait for me to be OP" attitude. If you really want to sit there and be a "solo carry" Do everyone a favor and uninstall. Go play Super mario bros. you can have the high score to your heart's content. But dont sit there and make everyone else "wait till I carry", The enemy team isnt gonna wait for you to get that "one item"

The match starts when all 5 players appear in spawn, it does not start "After lvl 6", and Not when you decide you have the proper items to be "op" and flaunt it infront of the rest of your team "look at my kills, How OP am I?"

Ok, some champions are actually intended to work that way. For example Yi. He can carry if you let him farm for a bit. But in example that you made, Kayne is the champion that can get assassin form, one item and delete enemy carries, not Lee. Lee is early game ganker that falls off late, turning into an off-tank with very good utility on ultimate. He is not meant to be a high damage carry.

Still, point is, it depends on champion and team composition. Not all champions can be high damage carries and not all teams can fight 4 vs 5 enough time to let carry get that one item. Strategy is not bad, execution can be.

But power spikes are real.

I can be a 0/9/3 zyra support doing horribly through lane and kept getting collapsed on when I'm warding alone during laning phase, but once I get my sorc shoes, orb (morello component, not sure what that item name is), and liandrys, I can pretty much support carry pretty well. Especially when no one builds MR.

I have won such a game before, and the come back feels good.

If someone's going to play a late game champ or build, I do wish they'd present it better. "I'm gonna build up slow, so be careful early on," rather than "I'll carry later."

Just saying you're gonna carry sends an arrogant, self-absorbed message whether you mean it to or not.
