Possible Solution to Smurfs?

So yall know how smurfs are really annoying and mess with new players or people trying to climb the ranks.

What if new accounts were linked to your previous account? Like, your new account already knows your rank and elo and when you start playing normals/ranked with it, it puts you with people around your rank/skill level. If you are a higher rank there is no reason you should be placed with people who are much lower in elo and rank. If accounts are linked so that it knows that stuff already, you'll be placed with people who are your skill level, which allows people trying to learn the game, level up, or rank up to do so without some plat or diamond person completely wrecking them on a different account.

This is a really rough idea that I thought of while doing my bio homework so please no flaming me for it. I would love to hear any ideas and such on how to make it better or what could be changed, but please keep in mind that I just thought of this and it is a work in progress XD

I like it.

So the concept with linked accounts.

If you have a plat account and make a smurf you will be placed in B5 for example but you will be playing other plats in hopes to rank up out of B5 :)

I like it that would kill smurfs assuming there not doing anything weird with Ips to exploit the new idea.

honestly if the person smurfing is actually at a high enough elo, they won't be playing with new players for long. it'll start placing the smurf with other smurfs as to decrease the chance of ruining the game for new players. it places you with people based on your skill level anyway. so a bad smurf might get stuck with new players still, but that's where they belong, those will be the people they are still playing with when they do hit ranked.

It wouldnt change anything....They would still be able to have different accounts. However, think about WoW and you can have different toons (essentially summoner profiles) under a single account. That is more along what you are thinking and, although I do think it would decrease the amount of smurfs, I do not think that it would largely have any effect on it.

And how will u know who is smurfing if people are playing from same place? There are gaming cafes with up to hundred people playing in same time.
