An ounce of sugar will get more done than a mountain of salt.

True words to live by.

EDIT: Basically the point is being a bit nicer to your team instead of yelling at them for the entire game is probably better for getting things done. Hence the "mountain of salt" and "ounce of sugar" differences.

I don't know man... That's a lot of salt.

Think of how much money you could sell the salt for!

Actually though, salt was incredibly valuable for thousands of years, before refrigeration. Salt was used to preserve foods, making it one of the largest industries of the ancient world. In some places, it was an accepted bartering medium (read: currency). One of the earliest roads in Rome was called the Via Salaria (Salt Road), which shows its value.

Sugar came much later; honey was used as the major sweetener for many years in many civilizations.

I literally just tore this from the self aware tip box in Guns of Icarus. I guess people don't like it then, eh?

What if you're cooking a steak?

Pour some sugar on that and it ruins the steak.
