People are literally doing it so much now that some people actually believe this is acceptable behavior, and not harassment.

Something SERIOUSLY needs to be done about this. I can't even fucking block the pings what the fuck. Why can I mute someone and not see their chat, but still see their pings?

Because that's your only remaining way to communicate with that teammate.

Pinging the question mark once over a really dumb play is OK in my book, as it can be a reminder to think things out a little bit more in the future. Ping spam is a little different, usually resulting from players having too much of an "I can do no wrong" mentality.
