A swain main concerned for his VGU update

I feel Swain is already near perfection, sure his E feels plain and dull which makes sense that part would need a little bit of work.. Maybe his Q as well, but other then that he feels perfect to play, he is not out of the meta at all and he is normally picked by most people now a days. If I may ask though.. What is the point of him needing a full VGU? I see nothing wrong with his current kit, he's not even that weak if you learn him.

Any other Swain main will understand and probably fears his VGU as much as I do. Don't mess it up, Seriously.. He's usually the only champion I play, changing him entirely will most likely make me disappointed. Don't do it for the sake of damn change.

Swain is my #1 mastery and I fear for his change too. Most full VGUs change their ultimates (poppy, sion, ryze etc.) and Swain's ult is the most iconic part about him. Also will he keep the bird-man theme in his gameplay? So what can be done?

I guess because it's on such a low cd relatively, his ult can be changed into a basic ability after some numbers adjustments
Not sure how they will change ult then since the drain tank uses alot of power budget
New passive? but that will mean lower mana costs on abilities
Beatrice must stay somewhere. She's just as iconic as Swains ult.
E definitely can change. Boring and click to win. Just free DoT. I both fear and am excited about the VGU, but that will come out next year probably

Riot previously mentioned that Swain is suppose to be a "Master of Tactician", but instead, he's just some guy who facerolls his keyboard with EQW, presses ult & strolls around the enemy team hoping he does some damage or spams Zhonyas to be useful.

Technically speaking, he isn't very unique to use which doesn't matchup to his name.

He's actually incredibly strong right now... he's 53%+ win rate everywhere I look. I share your nerves, but I also want Dragon Master Swain. I think the thing to do is just keep posting and say we love his playstyle, so change the tactician bit that doesn't fit. I think that's our best chance at preserving the playstyle that we love.

Hey why is everyone talking about Swain VGU? Did Swain get confirmed for a full VGU soon? I know Ghostcrawler sad that he is not a going to get reworked now. Did that change? Also I think that Mordekaiser deserves a full VGU more that Swain, cuz Swain is at least playable and he is so much fun to play as he already is.

I slightly agree. I love swain and everything about him but I can see where they're going with the update. I will agree he's a little dated but I believe there are so many more champions that need much more help.

If you ask me his rework moved him from an okay but dated position into an incredibly awkward spot where the only reason he's able to work is because they compensated for bad mechanics with stupid numbers. Either your enemy's immobile and stand in your little Q zone and take ridiculous damage, or you're stuck auto attacking waiting for your cooldowns.
