Thresh hook doesn't pull him all the way in. It can be used to stop a LOT of his abilities. Hook him mid w? the w stops. Hook him after he q's and wants to heal his ally? Predictable and stops the heal. Hook him mid ult? His ult that he has to run through people with just lost a LOT of its uptime.

I can't be sure yet but I think the best way to play Rakan is to wait until they engage and then disrupt them when they have no more CC. If you ult when Thresh still has his E or Q then you deserve to be knocked out of your ult imo.

You are right though it's probably more of a skill matchup than Rakan countering Thresh I can see what you mean now. But I don't think Thresh has the better advantage in that matchup
