I just played with a 3 man premade who flamed me and Sona the entire game, wished our families died, etc... And then after game they convinced the enemy team we said that, and we got reported....

Rock Rockburgh5 votesIt's terrible that you had to put up with that, but you really should just report and move on. Taking away the ability to use non-5 premades would severely reduce Riot's new-player influx, since a lot of people rely on their friends to learn the game. League is incredibly difficult to learn on your own, and it's ridiculously frustrating to lose without knowing what you did wrong. Preventing people from playing with their friends is only going to scare away newcomers, and the game will die.
I know, for a fact, that I personally would not play if I couldn't queue with my friends. There are good odds that none of them would either, or any of the dozens of people at my school who play. (About half the people who game at all.) This might benefit players by reducing trolling-- and that's a big might-- but the game wouldn't last very long.
Junkο2 votesI didn't mean remove people being able to be queued up together, i meant removing the ability to be matched on the same team as them. It's even worse because TB forces you to do play with one every single game, and i haven't seen a single one that hasn't been toxic yet (at least the ones that said anything the entire game).
Rock Rockburgh3 votesIf people in premades can't be matched with people who aren't, that means you can't queue as 4, and going as 2 or 3 will be much harder. Even queuing alone will take longer, because you're taking out a significant portion of the potential matches.
I'm sorry you've had bad experiences, but that isn't the norm. I find that solo players tend to be MORE toxic-- I've matched with a few premades that were actually among the nicest people I've met in the game. When I'm with a premade myself, we frequently encounter players who get angry over the smallest things and stay that way the whole game, even though we're staying calm.
I really think you're casting out a stereotype on something that doesn't exist. Most people are perfectly fine when playing in premades. It leads to calmer, happier players because they'll generally have a stronger line of communication with some of their teammates. They often won't type, because they can speak with some of their teammates through another means, but pings are still fairly frequent.
Again, you're making claims that most people can't corroborate. Your personal experiences don't match well with the majority of players, and even if they did, you'd be making things a lot harder on new players.
I propose a compromise. Keep the normal queue as it is now, but add a solo-only Normal queue to complement it.
SecretAgentHulk2 votesAlso IMO premades are less likely to be toxic because they can vent to each other on Skype instead of in chat about how stupid this Yi is. I disagree that any special solo queue needs to be implemented though, as it would turn into the default queue if enough people decided they hate premades.

SecretAgentHulk2 votesIt's unfair to criticize all premades for this unacceptable behaviour, just like it's unfair to say LoL has a toxic community when ~95% of us are pretty decent. I do three- or four-man premades all the time and we would never dream of being toxic like that. (Our jungler also ganks other lanes, yay!)

Junkο1 votesJust because 95% of the community did not get chat restrictions does NOT mean most people in this game are not toxic.
Note that a ton of that 95% could easily be smurfs, RAF bots, XP and IP bots, or just players that play a game or 2 and never play again.
Also if anything, that means that the current chat restriction system is TERRIBLE, i meet toxic people every other game i play and since they are typing 20 messages per minute telling the team to die and how much they suck, etc... that clearly means they do not have a chat restriction
