need USW, USC, USE servers for low ping

there's honestly no excuse. the solution to "west coast has good ping, east coast has garbage ping" isn't "everyone has bad ping except flyover states"

60-70ms might not seem like a big deal, but in clutch situations it really is, esp if you're a pro player who wants to practise mechanics/clutch outplays/etc in soloQ.

dodging skillshots is a very relevant topic if we're gonna talk about high ping. take xerath's e for example. it has a range of 1050 and a missile speed of 2300, meaning that in a perfect, 0 ping world, you have 0.46 seconds to react and get out of the way of a max range xerath e. for reference, the average blink of an eye is about 0.1--0.25s. on 70ms ping, you have only 0.39s to react and get out of the way.

how about a more common skillshot, blitz hook. range of 925 and missile speed of 1725, meaning you have 0.53s to react. on 70ms, you only have 0.46s.

let's go a bit further. i'll use xerath's e because we know the exact width of it and the wiki doesn't provide the width of blitz hook for some reason.

within the 0.39s you have to react to xerath's e, which has a missile width of 60, you can either flash or walk out of it. if you flash, you have to depress the flash key and send the command within 0.32s on 70ms ping, or your flash won't go off in time (or worse, it'll go off but you'll still get hit b/c of information overlap). remember, the blink of an eye is 0.1--0.25s.

if you walk out of the way (assuming the xerath shoots it straight at you and doesn't account for movement), you can cover a maximum distance of "your movespeed multiplied by 0.39" units. let's say you're an azir with no boots, so your movespeed is 325 units per second. that means that the maximum distance you can walk is 126.75 units if you react the very instant you see xerath's e on 70ms ping. if you were on 9ms ping, you'd have 0.448s (or 0.45s) to react---almost the full ideal 0.46s. In this time, you could cover 145.44 units. it doesn't seem awfully significant, but it's a game of inches. imagine that the xerath doesn't throw his e max range and throws it at half range instead. you have 0.22s (71.5 units possible) to react on 9ms ping, but only 0.16s (52 units possible) on 70ms ping. notice how the skillshot becomes literally impossible to dodge by walking on 70ms ping, where it should be entirely dodgeable. keep in mind that these "time to react" values are assuming that you're a perfect human being who reacts the very instant it is possible to react; if we factor in reaction times, your chances of dodging properly get even lower.

it doesn't look all that bad if you're just looking at juking skillshots and flashing and such, but when you start getting into the territory of reactively using abilities that have innate cast/channel times (even short ones) like sivir spellshield and the entire host of support shields, 70ms starts being more and more cumbersome.

EDIT: if LCS is going to be in LA, then there should be a server in LA. it makes no sense to force the pros of the region---literally the local cream of the crop---to play on the second-worst possible ping in solo queue.

You're also being incredibly selfish too and Im in chicago, so when the servers were on the west coast i was getting like 60+ ping and didnt notice anything 1 bit when they moved the servers. Also what about all the challenger master diamond 3+ players that are currently experiencing huge q times because there aren't enough people in their skill level, it would only make it worse.

You know they did more then just move the servers right?
