How to make getting Champs easier for the causal player. Some thoughts. Plus other stuff.
I'ma start with I didn't know where to post this (what board) so I choose Misc.
With the ever growing Champion pool, 130+ I think its time to have another tier for pricing.
15-20 6300 IP champs 15-20 4800 IP champs 20-30 3250 IP champs 30 1350 IP Champs 20 1000 IP Champs ~ New category. Rest 450 IP champs
Now if they used the bigger number in each group, we come up with 120 champs not in the 450 group, 11 or so in the 450 group. Add that extra low cost group would help players get different/more champions faster to help them grow their champion pool and experience on and therefore against more champions. This would also help keep them wanting to play the game for longer, as they feel like they achieve things slightly faster to keep them entertained.
I also propose adding a seconded IP boost for win of the day, so two a day. Again getting ~175 IP twice a day instead of once would feel like your IP would go up faster to get those Champs, Runes, Pages, Random Stuff that we can get with IP.
Another Idea that could go hand in hand or stand alone would be when you put champions on sale, you could knock them down a price tier(IP) for the sale period, this would help players get the more expensive ones cheaper. while having to wait for them to come on sale.
Now Lets talk Runes and Pages. I think for every lets say 50k Ip you spend (I know that sounds like a lot) on whatever, you get a Free Rune Page or ~20k worth of runes for free, of the players choice. With a maximum of 5 Rune Pages and 100k worth of Runes. (You'd have to spend 500k IP to get all of them.) This would allow players to get more then the base 2 filled Rune Pages while also still buying Champions, or Runes.
With the Ability to gain Champions, Runes, Pages faster the older Players like myself so have them all need more to sink our IP into.
You should make certain skins and all Chromas (after a period apon release) be atainable through IP.
Chromas for what ever the amount you sold em for last time. Skins for a ridiculously large amount of IP. EX. 975 Skin for 100k IP. Maybe only do skins that are less then 975 for IP so people still buy RP for Good skins you put a lot of work into.
You could also require Players to own every champion before they can spend IP on Skins so its your most dedicated player base that would have that privilege. That may sound unfair to the masses but then it wouldn't effect your revenue hardly at all.
You Riot, as a company make enough money off of ESports and Skins that I'm sure you can help people achieve all the champions faster/easier (The 1st 2/3's my post)
