I think cutting the time in half for reaching level 30 is incredibly stupid.

Just because someone hits level 30, that doesn't mean they will jump into ranked.

Personally, I waited two seasons before I even bothered playing ranked. Managed to hit Platinum in 110 games though, so it worked out.
