I'd really appreciate it if match making would stop putting me with players almost 1 rank below me.

It could be my mmr, but i doubt it considering I gain 22 a win and lose 18. But my teams always look like this. My team: S1, S1, S1, G5, Me G2 vs. G5, G5, G4, G3, G1

How in any way, shape, or form are those teams fair?

you have the mmr of a silver 1 player at 1438 in rating.

so yeah you getting matched appropriately.

Riot logic, he continues to climb, and hasn't fallen below gold 3 in like 4 months silver mmr.

it is your mmr although lolking mmr is not accurate at all, the difference between G2 mmr and low gold mmr is not that high. and your team consists of high silver, which have a high mmr most of the time since they will be golds soon.

Outside of the G1 guy, this looks like a pretty standard low gold match.

The S1 players probably have high MMR for their ranking, and are just working on their climb still.

I'm a Silver 1, and I can attest that I get so many Gold 1+ but my MMR according to most sites is Average for my ranking. I take that back. I just got demoted to Silver 2 again, and still placed with Gold 1+.

They're probably particularly low MMR for their own ratings, then. Possibly with a mix of lower ranked people queued with higher ranked friends for a last push toward gold. Playing in high silver at this time of the season is a total nightmare...

Also, Riot doesn't make match MMR available through their API anymore, so there's no way to know what your actual MMR is that Riot uses. When you see 'MMR' on third-party sites, it's a number that site is calculating on its own with its own algorithm. These sites can be useful to see trends over time (like "my MMR has gone up in the last month"). But the numerical value itself is largely irrelevant.

Good to know for sure. I had a suspicion which is why I used multiple sites. :D Thanks!
