You do realize that with four allies and five enemies, as long as you are not a troll then statistically it's more likely for there to be trolls on the enemy team than yours.

I'm sure you've seen trolls/feeders on enemy teams before, or did you not notice/care because they weren't on your team?

I don't know... kinda over it now.

Had one guy lose me one game (as in, completely throw), then had him on the enemy team the next game and he went like 10/3 and carried his team.

Some people just have bad games, what do you know. Wish he could have played like that while he was on your team, so my condolences. Overall, though, trolls and feeders suck. At least we can do something about the second part if it's not intentional, at least to the extent of our abilities.

Well remember other times zone also play this server I used to avoid dominion and SR on Fridays and weekends after 9pm since it was afk/dc's/feeders/ trolls etc. It's gotten much better but there still seems to be times of the day/week where it's bad but it's not something Riot can predict in advance.

Well I play on OCE so 1am can only be as early as midnight or as late as about 4am.

Well, OCE Server is based in Sydney. There's 3 main time zones in Australia - Western, Central and Eastern Standard. Then there's New Zealand, some Deep South-Eastern Asian counties that are sort of north of the Western and Central states, and then scattered Island Nations all around the place (believe it or not we get French people on this server too because of the French Polynesia which is off the East Coast of Australia and North-East of New Zealand).

More likely does not equal always happens. More likely means greater than 50% chance. What about the other 49%? Also, if we work out the odds of individual players getting a "fair shake," we would find a large portion, but not majority, have not. I'd predict it to be around 25-30%, and that is just a guess.

Odds work better in greater numbers, so "keep playing" is good advice. This bs "statistically it's more likely" crap is garbage though.

Did you know that if you put 32 people in the same room that it's statistically more likely that 2 people will share a birthday, as opposed to each having a different one? Try it with your friends folks, you'll only look like a jackass 49.98% of the time!

Yeah, I get that people don't like trolls or feeders, but the point of my comment is that it happens to everyone. You're going to get trolls, and so will I. It's just a simple fact of the game, even if it is a stupid one. Also, because I'm feeling cheeky:

It's a joke man. Sorry if I offended. You seem to see hostility where there is none. I didn't call you a jackass, I made a joke about odds and probability.

The odds you claim are far too simplistic. You have to play a large number of games for them to play out. Keep playing and get better is the only proper response. It is a simple fact, but you're reading more into the simple fact than you actually should. It's a canned response, and it means nothing to someone who just got 3 trolls in a game. It will take a while for those 3 games to "even out" as far as the odds go.

If you don't want to be considered a jackass you should stay away from words like "cheeky."

the problem lies with the concept of the promotion series. Get trolls and afkers all you want but then you get these specific 2-3 games that you HAVE to win and advance up a rank. Its a great concept for 1v1 like starcraft 2 but in a game with 5v5, its not so great. i honestly dont see why RIOT changed it from the ELO system because it was far superior then the current system

I have too agree about the system. Sadly, but proudly I just got put back in Bronze 5. Now I got demoted because this guy chose Zyra as APC and lost lane, and then he said something about the trolls on our team, our Volibear said that also includes him (Zyra). He afk's after that. But as for the system, I'm not sure how they expect it too work out for the players. I screwed my MMR up in the pre-season, but I'm sure their are lots of people who just have a low MMR. I can carry myself through B5 unless we have like 2 afk's or something just goes wrong, but once I get in Bronze 4 my MMR isn't the same as theirs so I win like 9LP, and lose like 25LP. So if I do end up just having that one or two bad games in a row, I pretty much go back down to Bronze 5, and those 2 losses impact your MMR even more because you are in a tier that your MMR says you shouldn't be. The Bronze 5 games won't give you much MMR, because your MMR is on that level. I mean does it equal out? Maybe I just don't understand it.

your LP gains and loses depend on how well you do. If you do well on a consistent basis, your hidden MMR goes up. If your MMR is higher then your current rank, you will gain a lot of LP because the system thinks you are better then that. If you are not gaining much and losing a lot of LP, just means you havnt quite improved enough to get big LP gains. At least thats how the system is designed to work lol. Like i said though, its a stupid system for this type of game. It's 1000000000x more suited for a 1v1 match of starcraft then it is this game.

A situation where the rank my MMR is in, and I end up winning I won't get much of an increase from my MMR, but 2 losses in the rank above mine can lead too being demoted, and having too repeat a cycle.

you need to win more then you lose thats all there is to it. you have 80 wins with 113 loses. The reason you dont gain much but lose a lot of LP is because if your win/loss ratio. You're not gaining much because the system says from those numbers that you are not ready. The only way for you to get more then 8-9 LP a win is if you improve your game and start winning 60%+ of your games. The system cant give you anymore because if it did, youd be going against people who are much better then you and youd just lose even more. dont worry about evening out your win/loss so its even, just improve and do better and try to win more games from this point.

1 thing ill suggest is watch youtube videos about how to play the game better from an objective standpoint. You have A LOT of talon games played but your winrate with him is atrocious even though your overall K/D/A with him is actually fairly decent. This pretty much says you dont know how to carry games properly when you are ahead

Yeah, my friend told me in Bronze, you need to pick champs that can carry. Sometimes I can, and most of the time I can't. Even if I get ahead. I have been getting better with roaming though, which has helped get me some wins. I do decent with him, but sometimes I get stuck in a situation where I just can't seem too find a carry potential. I've watched many videos on him, but its a lot of old videos, but I know he is a great champ. But as far as carry potential, I'm not sure.
