Champion Mastery Points

I'm rather confused how the points are awarded for champion mastery. It seems like all that matters is if you win. I Just played a game where I got a S rating but lost and only got 257 points but earlier I played a game where I got a C rating but won and got over 1,000 points. Shouldn't the champion mastery points be based more on your rating, not whether you win or lose? It is champion MASTERY after all, not "wins I've gotten playing this champion."

Ok this is simple. Winning can multiply your base rating (S = 250) by TIME if you win. If you loose you just get the base rating. So S * T = 250 for a loss. But its much more for a win. A long game can get you up to 7x base. I have seen scores in the upper 1600's.

But there is more. Your rating is based upon MAP presence! If you go 6-0 top lane but only stay top thats only a A. If you roam mid and bottom all of a sudden its a S. The game can tell if you help your team or if you are greedy.

If you want the best score help your team when you are ahead. End of story.
