Every new bit of lore they add takes more and more personality away from the characters. Every new champion seems inhuman and clearly a video game character. Every champion is forged by a tragic event or life changing moment. Are there any true champions in the league? Lee sin and Jax are the only actual champions in the game aside from the weirdo celestrial beings or demons. Poppy will never find the hero because they don't exist...but imagine if Jax had a real weapon... Give Jax poppys hammer.

{quoted} Are there any true champions in the league?

I'd say there are a few people who aren't some sort of ancient being or tragic story forced into fighting against their will...

Poppy will never find the hero because they don't exist.

Did you even read her lore? The hero does exist. It even says who it is and why she hasn't found them yet.

Every new champion seems inhuman and clearly a video game character.

A lot of real people sound like video game characters too if you don't know everything about them, especially people who have done great things. Take a look at some Medal of Honor/Victoria Cross recipients' deeds and tell me if they don't play out like stuff you'd call BS on if you had to do it in Call of Duty.

Yeah I can agree with you on at least one point; They definitely did take away parts of his character, the least they could have done was make him like Leona, where there is still at least fragments of his old self still residing in his mind.

But Trylobyte also makes good points

Poppy IS the hero, she just doesn't realize it. That's the whole point of her lore. And since the retcon of the Institute of War, Jax's lore consists of the sentence "Before joining the League, Jax was an unremarkable soldier-for-hire."
