Hitting gold at pre-season?
I was wondering if a player hits gold during the pre-season, does he get the gold border and rewards after the pre-season ends and the next one starts?

A season ends, then pre-season starts. Ranks obtained during pre-season don't count towards anything, and are reset when the next season starts.
Nope. After the season ends, you won't get rewards until the end of Season 6.
Not exactly. Preseason elo has a soft reset at the start of the new season, and then you need to do your provisional games to be placed in the elo the system decides you are at. If you finish your provisional games and end up in gold, you're set for the rest of the season.
