My tank is 7/7/3. He look at the scoreboard and see my adc (for the first time in the game) who is 1/10/0 in a double assassin meta. What are the odds he will realize that this 19/3 talon might be an issue for my adc and that he should start to group on ashe ?

No he wont. Never. Denial... Instead he will remember that I took smite on my support and blame every problem of the whole game on my summoners choice. That's off meta, so it must be the cause of everything...

Will he look my stat after the game and realize that by building item 3097 item 1082 item 1409 item 3083 . I reached the 3k treshold as soon as level 13 and I actually manage to heal for 3/8 of all damage dealt by the opponents as Soraka ? No. He will quit instantly and all he will remember is that taking smite on a support lost his game.

I realized that it might be a reason why the meta is so fixed and slow to shift. That's just in the human nature to point at the different team mate and blame the loss on them. And a off meta player need to get trough all those ragers and disregard them to have any chance to really experiment what works and what doesn't. One game is not enough.

For the curious, that same build wasn't viable until item 1082. It seem to synergize great with a full HP rush build. Just enough AP to make the heals viable and just enough mana regen to get trough the early game. The item 3302 just happen to works better with smite. It grant a heal that by far outweight the hp of it and the smite just make it possible even against greedy adc.

Then you realize that if you had exhaust maybe the Adc survives a talon.

You're exactly the proof of what I just said. You couldn't accept the possibility that maybe shyvana was out of position for real, chasing the hell out in the middle of the jungles where there was no objective to take and no exp to leash for poor ashe who was behind and slower then her so therefore physically unable to follow.

Instead you assumed that I must be something wrong with that Soraka with infinite heal that Shyv was never in range with... You looked and didn't saw exhaust... AHAH ! Cause of everything.

I think I had a decent peel, 1k heals in 5 seconds + silence. I was able to push the first assassin out of ashe. But there was 2 of them, and no one around to stop them to take a second... and third dive if necessary. They were several levels ahead. And the pattern repeated 6 time before we lost. Not like shyv did that once by mistake.

But, looking at the items, I'd say that is just getting into mid game, full jg item and a warmogs, neither are cheep. she would probably be in the middle of a third item or fourth item by now if building normally. she has the warding knife with relic shield, smite procs the shield, extra heal and gold. Yes, by its self, the smite is useless, but they build towards making it useful. Personally, i would have grabbed chilling smite with eye of the equinox, because Saraka's slow is hard to hit. Though you can't be aggro to double secure, she can still use the stats from the full jg item. higher mana regen in jg and lifesteal against monsters, this is great for fights in jg. low on health auto a camp that will target the enemy and you will always have mana to cast your spells. you should always test something you don't think will work, unless you don't have the champ its talking about.

Sorry for the delay to answer, yeah pretty much everything NahDog said. But also, smite allows to trade my hp5 quints into spellvamp quints. It's subtle but it's that much hp5 on raka.

Also, I dont know if it's the spellvamp on the aura, the extra health which hit a sweatspot or something, but the cinderhulk (and even the bami's cinder) alone feel like a power spike on itself. Even doe, on paper it's just health and I should hate it on raka. Can't explain why. maybe a safety tradeoff which allow to hit more starcall ?
