You can get lucky and get carried your first 3 games, and then you're pretty much guaranteed silver (if you're just starting out). So there can be a lot of bronze players in silver until they get demoted. This really skews the games just because you got lucky and got a smurf on your team during the beginning provisional games.
Yea its retarded. Those players will drop instantly to the bottom of bronze at the start of season 6, but most players probably wont play their provisionals until later. I know with rank reset everyone seems to drop. I am unsure what affect this has on new accounts but it seems like they are affected as well. Sadly, once this reset is over any new account is pretty much guaranteed silver. Most people don't see it as a problem but as someone who spent most of their league life in silver I do find it annoying. You get a free win if you have one of those players on the other team, but you also have a free loss if their on your team.
I have played 
support twice this season. The first time I played it I played a 
& 
bot (yea it was ranked wtf right?). They were the worst fucking players ever. I got an S+ rating as malph support...... Second game was a similar experience and I got a S rating. Granted these games only happened once in awhile, but they really should not happen at all.
My opinion is new accounts should have a much lower starting mmr. Almost all truly new players play the game at bronze level and should start in bronze. Some are pretty good and should be higher ranked, but they should also win more than 3 provisional games.... IMO its very easy to go 6-4 in provisional games (but I also play at a g4-s2 level). I think at a minimum 6-4 should get you into silver and maybe 5-5, but anything lower you should really be in bronze. Not this bs 3-7, 2-8 silver 2 players. I know it changes throughout the season (which is also retarded).
