Am I seeing things?

Okay, so I am a noob in terms of playing Dominion. I just need some clarification here. Me and my friend decided to go PvP on it and got into a match playing with the guys. We won and then the two of us decided to go again. But, when we got in, we noticed that our teammates and enemies were acting very... odd, almost as if they were bots. They had actual usernames and not "Akali Bot" or "Master Yi Bot". They wouldn't attack and they wouldn't take points. Does this usually happen? O.o
