is there inactivity LP decay for Gold?

In the Riot Support page it says there is no LP decay for Gold and below, but I've also heard that it changed for this season and there is decay for Gold and Silver. Could someone verify this for me? If it is a Rioter much better.

No there's not. You can only decay by losing and falling places.

I've been sitting at 56 points in silver for about 3 months now.
