@Riot An interesting topic for study: How much does toxic behavior breed toxicity in others?

I have to wonder just how much being exposed to toxic behavior will encourage otherwise amiable players to become toxic themselves?

I've been playing LoL since Beta, with 4 full seasons and thousands of games played. I have seen both the best and worst Summoner behavior imaginable from people using racial slurs and spending more keystrokes abusing their teammates than to activate abilities during a game to those who have been class acts and made me want to add them as friends when they were my opponents. I also consider myself a fairly even keeled guy, I have never once been warned of bad or toxic behavior. I can recall a few instances though when someone just really got to me. Whatever it was, they got under my skin and caused me to rage at them in game. This doesn't make me proud, in fact I never enjoy losing my cool because of someone else on the internet. Upon reflection, I realized that in those cases, I exhibit behavior that I am exposed to on the receiving end. I also realized that there are players who I once knew as calm collected and "normal" that after a year or more of playing LoL became the classic "nerd ragers" that have had accounts suspended or banned.

So this is why I ask, is there any way to take the metrics of both reports and reporting with regard to toxic players to see if a trend emerges? I would be interested to see if players who report toxic behavior over time become those who are reported.
