Why do we even have PBE or boards anymore?

I have had a PBE account for 3 years now, and have been playing this game for 4 and a half years. I have been an active reader and participant on LoL forums/boards for 3+ years as well. But, since I started posting on the boards/playing on PBE, Riots position to both has gone from great to almost non-existent.

PBE used to be a great place to go and test out what was going to be implemented to live; If you found something buggy, or the community felt that something was underwhelming or just a bad design choice, Reds would respond. ON THE FORUMS (not so much boards, they even ended the forums to create a more direct link to their player base and then largely just ignore it to post on Reddit/Twitter.)

But now PBE is a total waste of time. It doesn't matter what the community finds or says, 99% of the time what is on PBE is going to make it to live.

Cassiopeia rework. Veigar rework. Literally every CertainlyT champ ever.

Champs still enter the game upon release and are filled with more bugs than a city project building. Azir is case in point of that even though the PBE community posted a ton of threads about how wonky he was.

Same goes for the recent HUD changes; the PBE forums were filled with nothing but "WTF is this SHiT, the new HUD is garbage AF" Still made it to live.

And now they come for Fiora; Her new kit looks amazing, but they redid her splash/models, in what looks to be 5 minutes, because they are all a downgrade of her old model, which was one of the better ones out of champs not made in the last year or so.

So I post this question to Riot and all its employees; Why have PBE if its not going to be used for community testing and feedback since you just ignore everything that comes out of it? And why have boards if 99% of stuff on it is going to be ignored and instead answered on Reddit/twitter, which are 3rd party sites?

TL-DR: PBE should be a testing ground, not a preview area, and boards should be your first place to respond to your playerbase, not third party sites.

Thank you for proving what i assumed to be the case this whole time.

Always had a feeling that either players weren't giving feedback from PBE or Riot was just ignoring it totally and say we'll push it anyways.

This new HUD proves it.

I used to be super active on the PBE and the forums, trying to give feedback, bug fixes, etc.

I have since completely given up and uninstalled the pbe client from my computer.

The "red posts" on the PBE section have went down easily by 50-60%, the feedback is very obviously ignored (as "this is way too weak/strong, this is good/bad, more for art and such there). Bug get through to live that were pointed out and ignored for weeks if not longer, items that should NOT make it to live in their current state are ignored and pushed out, stuff like this HUD change (with the same complaints that people are giving today) are ignored and pushed out asap.

There really is no point for the PBE outside of, as the person above me said, a commercial. It is there to show "look at this skin/champ/fix/item that is coming up soon."

They ignore feedback and bugs until they get to live and are making them look silly. I just don't get it.

To show off new stuff. That's essentially all it is anymore. It's kinda like the commercials a week before Halloween or Christmas that let you know what's going to be on TV those days.
