Why would someone pay 2.50 for a icon

I'd pay about tree fiddy for a loch ness icon.

Seriously though, I'd say most cases is groups of friends wanting to have less used, matching icons. Or people with small amounts of leftover RP, just spending it without thinking about it being real money. Like the leftover change jar, just toss a handful of loose change in once and a while..and it eventually builds up to be quite a bit, but you don't think about it being much of anything at the time.

Also, 2.50 is not much if you have any kind of normal job. I make 12.45/h..so....2.50 is about...12 minutes worth of work? Though..I've never bought an icon for RP...I get the IP ones when they come around though.

Because it's their money and they can spend it how they want. If it's an icon, so be it. Haha. Really though, some of those paid icons are better than the ones you that are available to everyone. If you have the left over RP, why not?
