Why I have a tremendous amount of respect for Riot

I'm not too much into bashing other game developers to make Riot look good but the way Riot functions and interacts with the playerbase is just heavens above many others. And by "others" in particular I mean Blizzard developers namely who are in charge of Diablo 3. Honestly they aren't so bad and I acknowledge their effort even though they just seem to be quite out-of-touch and dictatorial, but compared to what Riot has done in terms of using the community and its ideas, Blizzard fell way short. Don't take that as an insult to Blizzard, please take it as a compliment to Riot because that is one hell of a job outshining another giant well-established game developing company (imho). Granted these are two different games within companies with different philosophies, in the end the way Riot has been just felt so much better in comparison. You guys are able to incorporate some of the passionate playerbase's ideas and that is an extremely smart way to lengthen the longevity of this game. I mean essentially we are practically free consultants pouring in ideas of how to make the game better (really though that's really everyone's intention). Why not use it? Lol. This new patch is a prime example of that.

Finding a balance between doing what you want and at the same time pleasing the majority of the playerbase is one monumental task however you guys seem to have that in focus. Good job Riot.
