Jinx: who does she really have an issue with? Plot twist inside!

So, watching the Get Jinxed video a bit closer, I realized something. Jinx isn't really destroying the city because of Vi. A side benefit is that she ticks off the "Popo", but if you notice there really isn't any mention of Vi outside the line "and see what PoPo thinks." We will come back to this, just wait. Popo includes Cait, so in general her issue is authority, not Vi in particular. Captain Obvious reporting for duty! Vi is just taking it super hard for some reason.

However, if you look more at the animations in the video, she seems intent on destroying the building and creations of a larger authority. Looking at the wall around 1:44, you will notice some graffiti saying "Nerf Heimerdinger". At roughly 1:29 you see a large airship going down, due to Jinx blowing it up. At roughly 1:57, we see her attacking a large laboratory with security drones. We actually see those drones alot, where she seems to be happy dissembling them, or generally playing with them. 1:38 has her destroying the whole city of progress. Clearly, she has an issue with the creator of the town, the Revered Inventor, Heimerdinger. But why?

#My Thoughts#

At this point, I am going to throw up some speculation. At 2:02, you see her use her grenade, and she pegs the drone with it, stunning it before exploding. This is the same things that happens when Heimer throws a grenade. Hmmm. Also, if you listen to that line, "And see what PoPo thinks," PoPo is pronounce with a drawl, sounding like PaPa. What if she is actually meaning PaPa? It would mean Heimer is the father figure in her life!

But how? she is clearly no yordle, and Vi clearly has a close connection, even if she doesn't remember it. My theory is this: They are both parts of a batch of clones made by Heimer! Who of? Probably Cait, considering Vi and Cait's bond, but it could be someone else not mentioned. Perhaps the Original Oriana, the one who inspired the clockwork creation? Regardless, that would explain the tatoo on Vi, VI is the roman numeral for 6, so she could have been the 6th clone. Clearly though, she wasn't the last, as Jinx was made. WAIT A SECOND, NO TATTOO! Well, what if she escaped? It would explain the lack of developed mind and body that Jinx has. She could have been a failed sample, and was doomed to a dip in the incinerator, or a test tube to be studied. Regardless, she likely escaped that fate, and now wants to break everything Heimerdinger holds dear. His city, his success in the form of Vi, his airship, and even his lab. Part of Vi knows, but that part is buried. Still, this causes her to take this attack personally.

Heimer has been mysteriously absent of late, both in game due to balance reasons, but also lore as well. This could be due to this behind the scenes experiment. I expect that shortly after Jinx joins the league, for what ever reason, Heimer will get his rework and return, to "clean up his mess" so to speak. The new and improved turrets will be in the lore, as he has upgraded his equipment to withstand the onslaught that he will face against in the form of Jinx.

I like the conspiracy theory - pretty much 100% sure that's not what's up with Riot's lore, but I like it.

Also I'm betting the reason for all the drones is because otherwise she would be murdering a lot of people as opposed to just creating a lot of (mostly harmless) wanton destruction. This means that 1) they can portray her as chaotic neutral rather than chaotic evil - which seems to be pretty important to Riot, and 2) all that gore and viscera could get them in an uncomfortable PR situation instead of the great spot they are now.

Dude, you thinking too much. There was no story in that trailer/debut. The CG team just want to make a cool video that show off JinX personality, that all, no hidden message or anything else.

I just wonder, the last part where she vandalize the game's name. Doesn't it look like "Vi n X", this is intentional?

Nice insite, but I think maybe she is still a little close to Heimer. Possibly a malfunction on Jinx, judging this theory is right, but maybe the drones were made as tests for Jinx and Heimer is really just evil and Vi turned good, so he uses Jinx to kinda maybe get Vi back in her game. If not, you can also find other theories on http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/lEN9q900-jinx-and-vis-family-ties-facts-myths-and-theories All credit of this guy's post and hard work goes to himself. Last note, good observations in the video. Lots of theories make sense.
