@RIOT: Ok, I am sick and tired of Chinese players ruining EUW at night

Disclaimer - I am not a racist, I don't hate any nation or religion, I have never met a single Asian person, this post has nothing to do with that sort of thing.

Ok, am I the only one who plays mostly normals and faces dozens of Chinese players every night on EUW. Now I don't know if this happens in ranked as well nor if it happens on NA or EUNE. Back to the point, these players are in 95% of cases, and believe me that is not an exaggeration, toxic, they cant speak English apart from insults and curses, they feed like insane, they usually afk, troll and int on purpose, use 3rd party programs and absolutely ruin almost every single game they are in. I am sick and tired of this. Now this might sound super rude and hateful, but they have their own fucking server so I don't see a point in them coming over here and ruining our game without a single punishment since they don't play more than a couple of games and will never rack up enough reports to get them permabanned. This reminds me very much of the times when me and my friends were kids playing CS 1.6 and we used to go to another random server from like France of whatever and go around with aim-bots. I feel this is the same kind of problem - kids having fun ruining time for other people.

Please RIOT, I can mostly play at night because I usually work all day and this problem that is present in last 6-10 months is really destroying my gameplay experience. And before any of you say that these people are maybe just Chinese from EUW playing, remember that they don't speak English and they play only at night not because they want to, but because of the timezone difference. Please, I hope somebody can help, I can't possibly be the only one having this terrible gameplay experience...

That sounds terrible. I haven't experienced too many foreign languages in this game, apart from a few French-speaking Canadians. My game can't read Chinese or Korean for some reason, so I only see boxes.

Also, where do you live that you have never met a single asian person in your life? There's bound to be an asian classmate, or asian person you've bumped into the street. Asians are all over the place. I should know.

I am not saying that I havent seen an Asian, of course I have, its just that I dont personally know anyone. Black people neither. I live in Serbia, maybe Yugoslavia used to be a rich and developed country so many people were coming, but these days nobody cares enough to come any more. The country is poor and people are leaving so I dont see a point in anyone coming, white, black or asian, so I guess thats why I havent met many foreign people or seen any attend my school :(

Only difference being we got banned in the matter of minutes, these guys wont ever get punished, I can bet on it !!! :(

If their in Europe why would they play on Chinese servers? The lag is insane...

I'm an expat in China atm, playing on Chinese servers. There actually calm and quite, nobody really talks or complains. If one person swears or flips out, everybody tells them to stop bitching. Also EU has a shitload of languages, don't be so close minded...

What do you expect from RIOT anyway? Ban all the Chinese players or ban a language? That wouldn't cause a shitstorm at all...

Yes it is, maybe you see some as toxic nations. For me its French, they are usually toxic and refuse to speak English, at least from my experience. But for every troll there are 10 normal guys who I have fun with and try to communicate in my broken French. As for these guys from China, only a small portion of them speaks or even understands basic English, they come with scripts, int feeding, troll comps and their extremely high ping because they live half the world away. Its not the same, we dont need to import toxic people here when we already have a lot of our own toxic people. Let every region take care of their trash and not just send them to be someone else's problem.

Swap out "Chinese" with "league players" and you get your everyday league matches, including the incompetence in English part.

I can not understand why some people believe it is suddenly unique and worse when it's supposedly about Chinese players or something, when it's the same thing for everyone. I guess the institutional racism towards Asians from the early 20th century and post WW2 period hasn't gone away.

I mean, I see this all too often here in Australia. For a couple examples: In the retail shop I work for, our Chinese manager got a hang of the basics over a wide range of languages thanks to the fact almost every non-English speaking customer who rings in is referred by the colleagues to him ("hey manager, this guy speaks in Chinese"). Or that people get visibly super-annoyed when say a Chinese or other Asian folks who talks loudly on the phone on the bus or whatever, but gives no shit when it's other languages. This is no different.

EDIT: Here in OCE, we also get threads like this somewhat common. When in reality it really isn't anything to get special attention and bracketing, at least when the caliber of destruction is still far greater from the locals (I mean, they worst they really do is spamming. That's it).

It's all about pre-established prejudices and stereotypes and seeing things through that little lens, and a lot of times making a fuss out of something due to your subjective feeling that believes there is a problem when there really might not be one objectively.

And really, Chinese players (or Asian players as a whole) are literally everywhere. Have you counted the ones who speak perfect English/whatever local language of the server and behaving perfectly in matches etc? Or maybe you don't, but you sure as hell pull the tag super quick over the demographic that has billions of people when you're out to condemn someone.

Some of your harsh accusations also have little to no basis, saying that they all troll, feed, int, cheat etc, 95% in your book. That's a VERY bold claim, and it doesn't take a genius to figure that it's obviously falsely and skewly concluded and exaggerated out of proportion to try and strength your case. And that's really not what you want to be doing.

Because I dont see any other nation playing every single night in premade groups and ruining the games at least 80-95% of time which is very, very high you must admit. As I said already, I do not have any bias towards anyone, I am just stating the facts here. There is a difference between having a bias towards something like Polish people on EUNE because they have the most trolls and flamers out of any nationalities on that server, because they also have the most players in that region, so of course some of them are idiots ,but most of them are just guys playing on their own server. Here however, you have players coming from another continent, from half the world away usually with the sole intention to ruin the game, this isnt some of them, its almost ALL OF THEM. Even if they did come to just play the game, their pings are some of the highest I have ever seen, going up to 5000 ping making it impossible for them to do anything else other than feed hard, get mad and flame after that (if they can even speak english, but trust me most of them know the main insults). And what is the reason for this when they have their own server. I wouldnt be surprised if Tencent started IP banning in China because this really started happening extremely fast ~8 months ago, I cant think of any other reason for a sudden income of thousands of Chinese accounts, when before that I have almost never seen them in 6 years on EUW. I am just stating what I experienced, nothing more, and if you insult me by calling me even a little bit racist then go to hell, I lost half my family fighting the nazzis back in the day, so you have no right to do that.

What fact? People tilting themselves when they see someone they believe to be Chinese is not the latter's fault.

Let's be real: Know that Ark Survival Evolved incident earlier, about that "Chinese invasion"?

I tell you what actually happened. It was a bunch of Chinese players showing up and playing the game as intended by forming teams, raiding other people and loot their shit. But a shitstorm happened, and that they're supposedly "ruining the game", by playing the game as how it's meant to be played.

Yeah, that was a thing. And I wouldn't be thinking there is going to be that much difference between that case and this one.

And as I also said, here in OCE this kinda of threads also pops up somewhat often. When me as a player on the server and having played the game since S1 (and transfer to OCE since its inception in I think S3), and the worst I've seen from them is just spamming. I can not imagine why this is headline worthy where there are clearly other much bigger fish to fry.

There are Chinese players who are a shithead, obviously. But to hold the entire billions of people as hostage because of your personal and skewed opinion born from bloated and borderline cynical observation is flat out wrong.

Again, it is very clear this is entirely in the perspective.

Also, you can not see other players' ping, nor is lagging automatically mean "Chinese", not to mention Chinese players can also live aboard as well (hence they play at their nearest server depending on their location). In fact, if they do live aboard, even if they want to route back to their homeland with 300 ping they still can't due to IP blocking.

There are much problems to how you arrive at your conclusion, this doesn't even constitute the tip of the iceburg.

EDIT: Also people fought the Nazis not because they were racists, but because they were German, and ones starting the war. This has nothing to do with racism and whatever, as far as the people living at the time were concerned, unless you are associated to Jewish people in some way or something then that's a different matter.

Happens with my buddy and I every time we play at night on the NA server. Rarely during the day. ALWAYS at night. It's frustrating because, like you said, they troll, int, or afk much more than during the day.
