Riots splash art and in-game teams need to communicate more.
Riots splash art and in-game teams need to communicate more.
but muh different teams, muh no one on different teams cant even use common sense to spot errors. Emails, twitting, or walking up to someone is too hard, YO!
Damn right. Looking at your masked shaco....
And then there's the mismatch between the side Gentleman Gnar's tooth is on and the side his monocle is on. Riot's addressed it and says more or less that they don't plan on doing anything about it.
It's rather sad, in the splash Wolf looks like a spectre, a demonic entity that chases you until it catches you, menacing and legitimately scary. In game he looks like Goofy with sharp teeth.
"Gawrsh Lamb, I sure hope they run from us!"
Also the fact that Wolf in the splash is dark and almost black rather then purple, which I don't like
Just buy the cool darkness skin that will be released a few months after she's out ;^)
They say it in like all of their stuff whenever people comment about this, it's just Artistic freedom. Most of the Splashes of champions have slight variations when compared to their in-game look.
The actual Wolf face/body is understandable to a degree, but come on, they practically shove the whole mask thing in with the teasers and now they cannot even get it right? That's just lazy. They complain about how much time they spend on designing champions but won't bother to keep such an obvious feature correct.
also the fact that it's pretty blatantly ripped off of chiara bautista's work ?!?
this raises an interesting topic
one that i think is ok that they took inspiration from his work because they take inspiration for all their champions
Minotaur myths
medusa
Gambit
predator
I don't think it's okay- people have been calling his work "league fanart" even though he's been drawing those characters for years. He himself said he's not okay with it on Facebook. The difference is that this is a self-created artist vs massive well-known franchises. Nobody would look at Gambit and say "oh he's probably based off of TF!" at all. Classical myths are open forum. Everyone takes from them because they're not and never were owned by any particular person.
