How do you limit/restrict your time spent in League?

I'm probably the only one who has this problem, but I play League more often in a day than is really good. 3 matches a evening on average, sometimes more. I'm falling behind on my hobby projects and I've also got a full Steam library that has games completely untouched because all my time is spent playing League.

I'd love to reduce how much time I give League or even quit altogether but I haven't had much luck with it. When I try to focus my energies on other things, I drift back after a bit. I've uninstalled the game to remove the temptation, but eventually reinstall it a month or so later.

I figure this must be what cigarettes are like, try to quit but keep going back. :\

Anyone else had to manually reduce League time and has suggestions on it?

My schedule is one bot game for my bonus, then either an ARAM or normal. I have a to-do list written up for hobbies every day and I have two slots for "Bonus" and "ARAM/Normal" (Been going through the old Tomb Raiders lately, almost finished TR2 :P)

Set a defined, reasonable goal you want to achieve. After you reach that see if your desire is tempered. Mine is to get back to gold. After that I plan on playing much less. It has worked in the past for me.

When I play for 8 hours + of ranked and not get that far, I think and realize how I wasted so much time to get a virtual ranking that no one else cares about. Sure there is self accomplishment and satisfaction but what's next? Just keep playing?

I limit myself to just playing the rotating game modes now every weekend. I don't even open touch League during the weekdays because I feel there's no point in playing. I don't find the game fun anymore so my ideas might be biased. I've got my friend to think the same because I always tell him "That doesn't seem very productive." We would go out and do something productive.

Sure League is great to spend a few hours on it but if it's interfering with different aspects of your life, it's becoming a problem then.
