If you're talking about ranked, some people prefer to lose 18-24 LP as opposed to 3-10.

Thats kinda my point though. I cant even think of a scenario where someone would want to play that game.

From a competitive standpoint, the game is almost guaranteed a loss, so the 3lp is much less than a full loss.

From an enjoyment standpoint, who wants to play with that guy?

AND if people always dodged this kind of thing those people would never be able to get a game.

One reason to want to play that game is if their in their promos. It will count as a loss if they dodge, but they might be able to turn it into a victory if they play. Regardless, they're no worse off (ranking wise anyway...) if they stay.
