The Player Behavior Warning Pop-up is full of nonsense

Complete nonsense in so many ways.

Let's analyze the message...

**Warning

Your recent behavior isn't in line with how most League of Legends players act. You have been recently reported for (Harassment or Negative Attitude). We know everyone has bad days, but remember to take it easy and make sure you're being sportsmanlike.**

Alright, first off, the message pops up based on report quantity. I've received at least 30 warnings combined across all my accounts and have never been banned nor chat restricted. The message has popped up so many times due to false reports, and don't tell me "It was probably due to your behavior a few games earlier." That is absolutely not true.

This leads to negative effects:

  1. A newbie will freak out and think he/she is about to be banned even though he/she didn't do anything wrong.
  2. An experienced league player who has received so many warnings due to false reports will stop taking them seriously, and when they actually act toxic due to a bad day and get the message they won't realize they were being toxic thinking, "oh it's just another report from a butthurt player."

And the message itself is even more nonsensical:

Let's look at the first sentence.

**"Your recent behavior ISN'T in line..." ** Wait... So the warning was triggered due to report quantity and not quality. So you're telling me you already decided my (or the player with the warning) behavior was toxic without even checking the validity of the reports. So a newbie reading it would freak out thinking he/she did something bad when all he did was have a bad game.

Let's keep moving: "... with how most League of Legends players act."

So.. "Your recent behavior isn't in line with how most League of Legends players act."

Well, most League of Legends players are toxic. So you're warning us because we were not in line with toxicity, or better yet, we were not being toxic. So is this message encouraging toxicity? I know it's not the intent, but the wording says otherwise.

So what caused me to talk about this? Well, last game (Co-op vs AI), I was Wukong and I "stole" some kills from Kat. The Kat constantly flamed me and I know ONE HUNDRED PERCENT I did not say anything (what's there to say in a bot game) other than "gg" at the end. I got a warning.

So my recent behavior (ignoring toxic players and just playing on) isn't in line with how most League of Legends players act (toxic).

Well that's true. It all makes sense now! The warning is trying to encourage toxicity.

PLEASE FIX THE WARNING MESSAGE.

Post is way too hyperbolic for my tastes, but we, and RIOTers here, have all agreed that the messaging needs to be worked on. Didn't Tantram say at one point that they were working on it already?

Riot said that the wording needed to be changed, but they're not going to do it because they're replacing the warning system sometime soon™ (probably by the end of Q2). The new system will be upgraded to use the full report system and will come with a Reform Card.

Its really not well worded. Maybe Rito can change it after improving the report feedback system :^)

Behavior Warnings should be more specific about what the problem is, haven't gotten any a week at least, but the amount of toxic games today two in a row, one was just our jungler being an idiot, who had no idea the mechanics of the game, and the other one was an absolute troll...

He comes mid at level 2, gets the enemy first Blood on me, then goes in takes the kill, and doesn't answer why the hell he would just run in lane at level 2, so I mute everyone lane phase is obviously lost vs a hard counter, and troll jungler, no choice but to report him because that type of shit is just absolutely Intentional, no doubt about it.

Instead of just popping up a "Automated Warning" it should perhaps even specify exactly the reason for the report, and warn them not to keep up that type of behavior in the game, but then nothing really takes care of the situation when players (Intentionally Throw) the game very early for their own team making the game a loss, or giving the enemy team a huge advantage.

. And its honestly not just junglers, we had invades before, we told 3 times in chat two players on my team, Do not go in, Do not Ward, and they run in and do it anyways causing the fight to be in enemy's favor when our team could have won and been ahead early but one player decides to get the enemy 3 kills because of their failure to listen.

How is "Griefing Passively" without typing in chat or "Toxicity" punished, because its really a bitch to deal with, and players seem to do this often sometimes, yesterday was a great day, did pre-mades did well, but this afternoon has been "Awful".
