It's because the systematic devaluation of a group of people slowly erodes thier trust and respect for authority. If the laws (or law keepers) of society continually show that this society isn't for them, then they will act in a manner opposed to or, at least, distinct from it.

Not excusing the crime, just illustrating how it can come about and show that it is something that can be worked on to help fix it.

Systematic devaluation of a group of people? I haven't systematically devalued anybody. Maybe if we jumped back to the values of 200 years ago, I could see systematic devaluation of an entire people, but unless slavery returns, I see no evidence of systematic devaluation.

That is the mistake people make "I've have had disadvantages and experienced hardship in my life, but I have been able to overcome them. Everyone should be able to."

Unfortunately, that is not how the world works. Because you are white you do not experiece the same disadvantages that a person of color does; therefore, you cannot understand what disadvantages or hardships a person of color faces.

Unfortunatly, people of color are defaulted to "people with shit character that don't want to do anything." People of color must prove they are not.

As for the picture, those 3 men all made different choices, true, but it speaks nothing to the opportunites either of those men had throughout thier life and the choices they were able to make due to it.

It's very hard to quantify and qualify the disadvantages as some are systemic and some are a symptom of social and cultural tendencies from slavery untill now. The trick to looking at racism is that you cannot look at individuals to evaluate racism, but instead have to take a large number of individuals (millions or more) and analyze how societal, economic, and legal forces have affected them.

One thing that really opeaned my mind was reading the "White Privilege Checklist". That links to the PDF document on the MIT website. There are a lot more things on the internet about it, and I recommend you read up on it, it's enlightening.

They just see things like this as an opportunity to benefit themselves. If #blacklivesmatter was true, they would be out walking in downtown Youngstown trying to stop the black on black killing. Ok, summary. Some dude thought he was a badass and wanted to play with drugs. He got caught about 1,000 times and arrested many times. The most recent time, he tried to run from the police. Obviously if you run you gonna get fucked up lol. Anyway, they gave him what is known in Baltimore as a "rough ride". He died a couple weeks later since he wasn't given medical attention.

Anyway, I think the police will be held accountable, as they usually are when proven to be in wrong doing. The police chef has acknowledged they fucked up. I don't think this gives the city a reason to go steal from innocent hard working business owners. It's pathetic. Especially since the people doing it don't give a shit about equality. In my opinion, I think the world is a better place without him anyway.

A man named Freddie Gray was arrested, and somehow he received a fatal spinal injury while in police custody. What exactly happened is currently unknown, but both local police and FBI are investigating. The reason that this sparked a riot is because it is the straw that broke the camels back. There have been 102 police misconduct civil suits since 2011 in Baltimore. I feel the need to point out that the vast majority of protesters are non-violent, and many are even helping the police.
