What kept you from obtaining your goal this season?

This was my first season and I really wanted to hit Gold, alas, I did not. I managed to get as far as Silver I from Bronze IV, but hit a road block and all but quit ranked at the end of the season. I started playing normals more to learn different roles since I mained Jungle all season. The biggest issue that kept me back was the fact I was almost useless out of the jungle, so when I didn't get my preferred role I would be horrible on everything else. I could not play top at all for the most part this season because I didn't know the champions kits who usually go top and would usually feed. My mid wasn't terrible, but my champion pool was (and still sorta is) limited. My ADC was fine if I could farm or had a really good support, but if it was a hard lane I usually lost. My support was never horrible, but it definitely was not as strong as it could be. I've been learning more roles over the past month or so by buying new champions and playing normals (draft). Of course, I had a lot of bad teams during my time, but the true limiting factor was myself. This next season I plan on hitting Gold since I can now play more roles far more effective and regardless of what I am on, I can make an impact. I'm curious to hear what other people found to be a limiting factors that kept them from their desired rank.

"What kept you from obtaining your goal this season?"

nothing but the shit ranked system, tbh i want the elo system back without fake LP junk. just elo. you win, you climb, you lose, you fall. not the dumb stuff with "win 3 out of 4 to level up"

well that and the fact that i am actually shit and die to much! but the ranked system first!!! ;)

Francisco Pires11/17/2015, 4:43:50 PM2 votes

I didn't reach diamond (yet) because my noob team always sucks, i belong in diamond, but my team trolls and feeds!

(waiting to see how many idiots won't get the sarcasm)

Damn, I have been silver the last 3 seasons haha. My goal has been to get Gold but have gotten stuck in silver 2 until the end of this season. I got silver 1 and got into my gold promos last 2 days of season but went 0-3 :(.

Hopefully we can both obtain gold next season!

"What kept you from obataining optimum level?"

Well shit alot of things: Stopped playing ranked because I moved to a place where there was no internet for 1 month! ( Thanks Divorce) Went back and fourth to old house for my stuff (Thanks Divorce) Then went on a 20 game losing streak as support and jungle (the feed is real) Depression ( Thanks DIVORCE)

So alot of irl stuff happened from reaching prime. then that 20 game streak kinda well didn't help

I wasn't focused at all.. But, seriously gold is shit (fuck all that effort for a sivir skin)

I had almost the exact same problem. I'm a jungle main through-and-through, with little flexibility for any other position except maybe ADC. There were two things I did to get past this and end this season Gold 5 after starting Bronze 3. First, I played custom games with no allies or enemies. I picked a solo laner or farm bot laner, went to a lane, and practiced last hitting until I could hit 70 CS at 10 minutes 100% of the time with every champion I elected to play outside of the jungle. Second, I stopped queueing alone. I know there are lots of people who will tell you otherwise and warn you that duo queue is a bad idea, but at least with my personality type and skill set, I feel more confident and perform better when I know I have someone to talk to in game who will shore me up and stay positive with me.

A combination of computer needing repair and lack of motivation to play ranked.

I only play late at night when wife and kid are in bed, and usually not sober. Reason 1 why I don't play much ranked.

Combine that with the fact that I have grinded to silver then stopped every since season 2, then last year I did my yearly minimum, but real life happened and I didn't get to play for awhile, so they took boarder from me, but then, get this, they decided that this was a stupid idea, but didn't make up for their stupidity retroactively; much like the Morde screw-up. That is when they started to lose my loyalty as a customer. With the Morde changes and pretty much everything since being wrong... done supporting the joke that used to be one of the favourite games I have ever played. Company has went down hill, shame. Besides, why bother with the stress and strain of afk,dc,troll, promos (which is the equivalent of riot trolling you), unless you have an infinite amount of time to play an infinite number of games.

The lack of patience for all the stress, insults, and deterioration of sanity every time I play ranked.

Honestly, I stopped playing my go-to champions. I decided to Brand main early in the season, and guess what, I after about 20 games I got really fucking good with him. By the time I hit 80 games I was legitimately able to carry 2-3 bricks on my team; all I really needed was one other competent player on my team to win. But then... I stopped playing him. Why? Cause Zac jungle just sounded so fun! So, I started playing him, got really good with him, and then just as I was about to go God-mode on Zac I switched to Sion, and then MF, and then Veigar, but then I gave Kennen a try and OMG he was so fun...

The worst part is by the time I switched back to my go-to champions I was rusty as shit and just started feeding.

Combine my short attention span with very limited windows for actually playing the game (usually when I'm dog tired and not seeing straight), and you have a recipe for disaster. I think I played almost every champion this season in ranked, which is about 80 more champions than I should have played if I really wanted to climb.

Trolls.. Trolls kept me from reaching gold. No matter how hard you carry that one person who is useless on my team feeds and quits. Yea that's what holds you back

i was still in the the early/mid 20s most of the season, stopped playing normals because of having severe anxiety and only knowing a few ADC/Supports. played ARAM till 30 to learn team fighting and different champs then i played 5 outta the 10 matches for ranked lost em all and then decided i'm just gonna play normals until the next season+ ranked team builder

I always hated playing ranked, because the pressure just makes some people lost it, and I hate dealing with people who can't handle pressure and then just start raging. However, usually in the end of the year I just get my shit together and get gold, just like I did in every past season. However this season, due to too many toxic members, unstable balance (Understandable, but the juggernauts, Riot could have released them in the preseason, since they changed the game drastically and now we are swapping everything again.I can see why Riot did things like this, but its effects on ranked are far from positive) and the fact that the reword was Siver, a champ I am not fond of in my least favorite role, made me come to the conclusion that the risk and time was not worth the reword. So I didn't even try.

zkookz11/17/2015, 5:41:32 PM1 votes

RITO blocked me .... everything from the out of control cost for skins, business model. moderating, game design, graphics, crap servers, and the captain scum Lyte.

Ranked sucks ... troll more its triple the rewards and feeling you have accomplished.
