Please stop playing Lux support. She does literally nothing. What does she even bring to the lane? A weak ass shield? A 1 second snare? She has damage, granted, but if you want a mage support who can do big damage, there is no reason to pick her over Brand or Zyra or Annie.

The Coalition has stated in the past that we simply treat bot lane the same as mid lane but tolerate the presence of the adc.

Lux is a lot like Morgana.

A snare. AoE damage. A shield.

The difference being that her AoE also slows, and that her ult does lots more damage and secures kills!

You've probably just encountered a lot of bad Lux supports. Mejai's is absolutely core on her, as it allows her to carry on her limited support budget. I also recommend skipping sightstone so you can rush that item 3089 . Your team will thank you when you carry the game.

You forgot the cons. You can just kill Lux, Morgana can make plays more freely while Lux has to have items to deal good damage and has to not die and get assists to get items. There's literally nothing stopping you from just outright jumping on the Lux support because her damage is near useless early game and her utility is pretty weak. The only thing stopping you is a snare and once she uses that snare you can just all in them and win so long as your support can deal more damage than their Lux(most of the time they can early game).

Supp Lux doesn't have poor damage early game. She does literally as much damage as mid lane Lux, assuming she makes the correct choice and starts item 1056 .

I think you're also forgetting that while she may have a support budget, she can farm a bit in the laning phase with her E. Minions she 'accidentally' collects are minions her ADC would have probably missed anyway.

This gives her an edge over most supports. Not only does she earn a bit more gold, but she ensures her team has as much gold as possible!
