on medium low to medium graphics with no shadows. One that wouldn't have fps problems and could actually run the game let alone the client without causing a lot of lag.
The one i own currently original OS is Vista, so this laptop can barely play a bot game. (just imagine a regular 5v5 match on my laptop, it isn't pretty)
How much would one cost that could run graphics on Medium with shadows?
$500? $600? $1000? Less than $500?
Razgriz9902 votesDude I bought my laptop over a year ago for $450 got a $40 4gb RAM upgrade, and I run this game at 60fps on HIGH... yes HIGH settings. Don't let elitist believe you need a powerful pc to run league, it's basic textures.

This laptop that I'm using has an original OS of Vista, as I said, and it can barely run League at the lowest possible settings. This is why I have 0 clue as to how much it costs to run League. If what you say is true, then good on me. I can buy the laptop tomorrow.
disregardable2 votesKeep in mind that whether you can run something on high depends on his screen resolution- it's a lot easier to run this game on 720p than on 1080p than on 1800p, etc.

Razgriz9901 votesYea no worries bud. Heres my basic setup: intel i3 dual (quad threads) at 2.7ghz 8GB RAM and a freakin integrated gpu that borrows its power from the cpu and RAM so... It's a Toshiba satellite c55. Personally wouldn't recommend it if you plan on using the pad and keyboard, cause they break easy, and it has a slight overheating issue. I literally took my keyboard off so the fan is wide open now and it doesn't overheat anymore. Other than that it's fantastic.
Vista was a terrible os imo, I literally bought XP for my vista comp until 7 came out.

Yeah my laptop has 7 now, but just running 7 makes it overheat as a mofo even though I have that bar that goes on the bottom that gives the ventilation fans some breathing room. I think that's one of the main reasons why it can't play League. Just an old piece of equipment that was just meant for accessing the internet and windows office for college.
It was never meant for gaming sadly. Now though that I'm making $, I want to invest in a gaming laptop.

I figured a laptop would be cheaper and easier to manage. I don't ever plan on upgrading my computer. Are you saying if I just bought a computer tower it would be better?
Razgriz9901 votesYou say you don't plan on upgrading, but you'll need to to keep up with newer games. League altho it makes money it's a massive game, it simply won't last forever. Something new will take the stage. Whether it's a #2 or something newer and better it'll need a more powerful system to run. Desktops are just so simple to swap parts. This is also coming from someone who has bought their home, and does play games on the move.
disregardable1 votesYou don't need medium settings, it barely makes a difference. Literally any laptop that can run windows 10 (so we're talking $300) can run this game 30 fps all on low. $500 and you're gonna get 60 fps on low.

Okay. I mean, my priorities are getting a car, then anything else. But man... not being able to play League is sort of a drag. Especially since I have put so much money into skins.. lol

Rand0mH3r0X1 votesAt least 2.2GHz Processor and 4GB of RAM. I've seen laptops with those specifications at about $200-300 new. You can maybe get an older Pentium Dual-Core laptop at a resale shop or pawn. I have a $1000 Laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate and 2.42GHz processor and 4GB RAM.
Ideally, and more commercially available are the i5 vPro and i7 laptop processors. You'd want something with that and more than 4GB RAM.

If you are willing to wait 2 months, wait for thanksgiving. look to get a laptop with a gen4 i5 intel processor and at least 8gb ram. if you can get your hands on a laptop with a dedicated graphics card (doubtful at low budget) do it.
if you have $1k, look at the Lenovo y50. wait for a good sale though.
