It has something to do with pakistan's rules on tobacco. Skins are allowed to have them because "extra content" isn't rated the same way.

So, uh, question: Why do we care so much? I mean, I wouldn't mind him getting it back, but it's not something I'd fight for, either. He didn't have it at all until his latest splash and the video so why are we making it a big deal that he got one and then lost it right after? It was never part of his character and it wasn't iconic. I guess it added to the Western motif fairly well, but that's pretty much all it did. Gaining it didn't change his character any nor did losing it change his character any.

I've never understood this either. It doesn't relaly make a difference whether he has it or not.

While I don't particularly care too strongly - not to say I don't care at all, I would rather he have the cigar - I believe most of the issue lies within the fact that there are so many other references to other similar content that isn't censored. Gragas having alcohol and in one skin a cigar being a recurrent example that people like to use when debating for the return of the cigar.

If Riot is limiting themselves based on some law in Pakistan, then I would literally roll on the floor laughing. Perhaps I am ignorant, but Pakistan probably generates .0001% of any sort of revenue.

You are right that pakistan is a small market but its not like removing the cigar really has any meaningful downside. Basically once a month someone makes this thread, that's about it.

The reason for removal is so that assets don't have to be changed by region. This not only requires more work but it also leaves more room for errors. Blizzard did the same thing. Every skin would pretty much have to be done twice and apparently skins aren't just textures because DJ Sona at one point (I think on PBE) had different stats to her other skins.

Not all regions take tobacco use like yours does. If you want it so bad change the splash art yourself. It's not hard.

The point trying to be made by this thread has been made and replied to numerous times, quite a while back.

I offered a solution; Change the splash art yourself. It's not hard. I did it for candy cane Miss fortune before Riot themselves chose the Chinese art for the client.

If it's an issue and you can fix it, then fix it. It's really simple.

So yeah. Go do that.

I'm pretty sure it's Korea's fault we can't have it.

I live in Korea and whenever someone smokes on tv it's always censored. Which is idiotic because seriously like 90% of this whole damn country smokes.

So blame Korea. Might be other countries too, but Korea is obviously an enormous market for Riot so they're gunna do what it takes

Graves doesn't smoke that often even Riot stated it. I forgot were but I know they stated that Graves isn't your average lung cancer smoker who smokes 40 packs of cigarettes a day

Splashes should ideally convey the regular state of the champion... and since it's not a special day and he doesn't smoke a ton... well, he frankly shouldn't be smoking.
