[POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT] ...and I feel so conflicted. It's like...they incorporated existing characters and their kids and stuff but they're all old and reminiscing about their Adventures and like most of team Avatar is dead...

It's just seems so sad that the characters that you've watched develop and learn to love are all old or dead.

They should have just stuck with the whole hundred year gap theme and not referenced the characters beyond seeing Aang in the avatar state or the spirit world. I'd engage with it a lot more if all the characters were new.

Mm. As a whole, I didn't particularly like the series and, like many, dropped it after season 2. My very favorite episode outside of the first season's pilot+finale was actually about Tenzin dealing with his desire to live up to his father and their family dynamics. It was the first time I actually managed to care about one of the characters and feel happy for his progress. At times, it felt like Tenzin is the only one they bothered to give a personality, and seeing the spirit world again through almost Aang's eyes was also enjoyable.

You missed out, season 2 was the weakest. Three and Four are great...not sure why it ended like that though.

Eh. The reception wasn't particularly good enough on them to warrant watching. I'm not particularly gung-ho to watch an episodic series about characters that lack any personality.

Bolin was great as fuck, and seeing one of the characters now literally be Yoda was great, but to each their own. One thing we can agree on though, it was better then the movie.

As stated by the above, season 2 of Korra was indeed the weakest of all the Seasons. However once you get past that, you really start to see a lot of character development out of Korra. Her journey post season 2 is more of becoming an adult rather then being the avatar. This really shows in many of the episodes. Trust me when i say. It really gets good.
