Since punishments keeps getting swifter and harder, players do nothing but try to bait you into saying something just to report you. Chat is more of a liability than a benefit at this point. I literally have PTSD from trying to communicate with my own team. Just remove the feature if you are going to monitor it like nazis and allow players to use it like a salem witch hunt.
Sounds to me like this is a personal problem. The rest of the community shouldn't be punished because you don't have self control (and PTSD? Really? From the chat in a video game? That's kinda insulting to soldiers who actually have PTSD)

you can, at the beginning of the game, type /muteall ore /mute all (i forgot which)
then you have turned off your chat. start with that!
While there are players that fit your description, the majority are really great people. I learned a lot about the game when I first started by chatting with higher ranking and more experienced players.
If you are having problems with someone, just mute them. Problem solved.
You can remove chat from your screen if you want. You can still chat, but you won't be able to see anything. You just exploit the UI. That being said, they'll never remove it for everyone.
