LCS has ruined this game (not a balance QQ thread)

Not in terms of balance (even though it has, but that is a different topic), but in terms of players. I'm sitting here with 2x the farm of the enemy ADC and 2-0. My support is like "wtf cait do something". I'm like, wat? Like, everyone in this game now thinks in order to win lane you have to make stupid turret dives and flashy #LC$BIGPLAY$. Yea Janna, I'm going to give up my huge ass lead just to try and tower dive a Blitz+Graves lane with Cait. makes sense. Forget the fact that cs is 140-60 at 15 mins, better make a tower dive. Our mid lane cass dies about 5 times in 7 mins. Why? Because LCS tells her that she has to make really cool looking plays...and she ends up dying trying to.

I don't know why you attribute this to lcs...people always have done stupid crap.

The funny part is that LCS matches end with low kill totals. The only reason their "flashy plays" work is because they are very coordinated. In reality, 90% of an LCS match is placing wards, sweeping for wards, and farming.

That stuff happened before the LCS became big... don't blame the LCS for people thinking plays are important.

I'll be honest here, I try to balance the two.

I always go to secure dat cs advantage, but occasionally I do something for the sake of it being cool (since it's a game, and I usually play normals).

Diving into a 1v3 at dragon, hoping your team will follow you while you distract them with your tanky build? What, you came out with a clutch triple kill? Priceless.

Towerdiving level 3 as the adc? Yeah, not so much.

Know when and when not to be a badass, that is the key.

ya, to win the game you dont have to play like the LCS players do. I wish more people knew that. i also refuse to watch it, i tried once and it was super boring

there should be a disclaimer, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PLAY LIKE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE TO BE GOOD AT LEAGUE

I think having the Directed Camera as default in spectating might also be part of it. It goes to where the 'action' is, so you don't see as much of the boring farm part of the game.
