Yeah, Zeds are annoying. They have the highest tryhard and toxicity rating alongside with Yas.

I honestly didnt think Zed was OP for a long time.

...And then i looked at the meta and realized he is almost exclusively the only assassin that works in it. Even in pro play the only other assassin seen is Leblanc, and shes never as potent as he is.

Let's look at his kit for a moment: Resource is Energy; basically infinite in small bursts, usually has a way to restore a chunk of it in combo. Passive: Extra damage. And then he has: Long Range Skillshot. Damage Multiplier/Mobility/Double Mobility Short range AoE/Slow Damage Multiplier/Burst/Mobility/Double Mobility

In Comparison, LB Has Mana, a decoy on her passive, a Burst, a CC, and a Burst/Mobility/Double Mobility, and her ult forces her to do one of the other three again, but moreso.

Talon: Mana, conditional bonus damage, Burst, CC, Mobility, AoE burst.

To spell this out: Zed has much longer range, higher versatility, higher mobility, better focused damage, and more options than Talon. Kha is barely above Talon, and even that's situational, whereas Zed's damage is gated only by how much energy he has moment to moment and his cooldowns.

Amusingly, the only champion in the assassin class that stands near Zed's level as a pure assassin when built that way is Lee Sin; Long range harass, great mobility, high burst, high sustained damage. The only other assassins that have been seeing play lately are the ones that have super high base damages anyway, so their kits can be padded out with 'super tank' builds on top of the general strength of an assassin based kit. (Akali and Ekko)[slayer-jinx-unamused] And we all know how that's been playing out.

TL;DR: Yeah, Zed's pretty stupid. His kit gives him way too much compared to other assassins; he's the current Lee Sin of league. The only way other assassins compete is if they can go super tanky and still be assassins... which is dumb.
