8/26 PBE Update: PROJECT: Yi Login, "They are Coming" , & more

Just got the "They are coming" thing happen to me. What does it mean? Why did it show up for me? Anyone have any ideas?

were you playing a shadow isles champion because i got it when playing elise so I am assuming this is part of the harrowing because its is very similar to the shadow isles emblem

It takes a long time to make a champion. Anyone hyping themselves up for that are probably going to be disappointed. I'm not saying there is no chance of it being a new champion teaser, I'm just saying it's almost positively not going to be that fan favorite champion concept.

Riot's mentioned they have not and will not use champion concepts that originated from the boards. That said, good designers will hit on the same ideas at one point in time or another, so there's a strong possibility of similarities.

It's almost 100% certain to be a new champion. Meddler mentioned a few weeks back that the Champion to be released after Tahm Kench was having their release pushed back until after the World's Patch (5.18), and this teaser would be right on track for a champion that would be released 5.19.
