Why can't normal MMR mimic your ranked MMR
Because like I don't know about you but I don't like laning against diamond 3 players as a gold 4. just a thought.

Because they are different. Many Diamonds use normals to practice new champions and roles, which they may only be of gold skill in. They would never have a place to practice in if the MMRs followed one another.
