Is Casual League Dead?

Recently watched some gameplay videos of 2012 and 2013 and it was a completely different game back then. Everyone was doing whatever he wanted and the Meta still kind of existed back then but was taken much less seriously. On top of that players were much worse back then and didn't seem to tryhard as much.

I feel like right now League is super competitive and has become super tactical and serious. And there's no problem with that, most people like it more like that probably but I just find it to be sad that casual play is kind of impossible these days, at least not as much as it used to be.

Sad thing is that it probably can not be made like it used to be. League has taken the direction of a super competitive game and you can't just destroy the meta or make people suddenly play worse. If you make big and weird, but interesting fun and chaotic changes like the Mordekaiser rework it's just going to be exploited to get the most efficiency out of it.

I don't know why I felt the urge to write this, nobody probably cares and it's most likely just Notalgia playing tricks on my mind.

wtf you talking about?

Casual league = dynamic queue...

Its competitive that is dying. Getting to gold+ this season means jack shit now that anybody can just get 4 man dynamic queue boosted and then act like they actually earned the rank..

Even LCS pros no longer respect the leaderboards because playing in premades takes less skill than doing it solo. It no longer shows the skill of an individual player.
