League players sure do love the word "oppressive"
Anything that is strong, especially early game, is "omg so oppressive rito".

Regardless, this post was just showing my distaste for people that use the word oppressive to describe a champ's strong early game. Like, no. That's not oppressive. That's having a strength lol.

Retillin2 votesIt's a favourite Riot "buzz" word. When they use such words/phrases: anti-fun, oppressive, toxic, bandwidth, ect.. the players start to use it.

Retillin1 votesNo, not really. When dealing with someone who has the power people in general take on the speaking terms/style of those in power. Riot uses oppressive instead of "over powered", toxic instead of "no counter", bandwidth instead of "resources", ect...
If Riot, as they tends to do, refuses to use common lexicon of the player base (see above examples) then the player base will start to use Riot's lexicon. Mostly due to the fact Riot is much more likely to respond to a post if the poster(s) use Riot's lexicon.
