Patcher Irony

Does anyone find it weird that ever since the new patcher you pretty much end up downloading and patching the patcher whenever you open it up? The old patcher never did this, it just opened up right away and doesn't have that over crowded feel to it either. {Once you get inside the Client it is also too dark and too over crowded, I am still waiting for that X button to get rid of that clunky, crowded advertisement front page to get to the old, well designed familiar front page- with that empty space for the friendslist}
